Actually not..
I'd assume a street car would be outfitted with just one.
Not if GM has their way.
Current electric cars have only one motor
That's because current electric cars are basically just retrofitting an electric motor into an existing design. -

Re:Better than nothing
Like the Opel Eco Speedster ? ... What we need is a good small (approx 1.2 litre) turbo diesel in a ~1000 lbs open wheel in line 2 seater. Put in low/no sulpher diesel. Give it a good suspension, and low drag. Then I have a car I can drive fast when I want/need to, and it will handle hella good. All while getting 60mph with me driving like an idiot. It would still be cheaper than a hybrid too, same weigh reductions. aluminum frame and fiberglass/carbon fiber body pieces... -
Rebuttal
First off, it is "Volkswagen". Not "Volkswagon". Learn how the spell before you crack another joke like that again. Second, Volkswagen makes plenty of large automobiles. Take for instance the Eurovan. I've seen many of these around and they are large and very nice looking. If I needed a van this is the one I'd get, but for now my W8 Passat does just fine. By the way my Passat could beat that piece of shit Honda you drive so shut the fuck up. Also, does this look small to you? Its a 12-cylinder engine wearing a VW badge. Don't miss this link that shows another VW with a V10 5.0 liter diesel engine.

Missing the point of the control location
Everybody seems to assume that the designers moved the controls to the steering wheel just to be different. Driver safety is a big reason to do away with the traditional pedals/steering wheel concept. By disconnecting the controls from a steering column, and removing the pedals, you prevent those controls from being thrust at your chest and legs at high speed in a crash. Saab went further with a joystick controlled 9000 in 1992, and Citroen recently created a new concept with similar steering-wheel mounted controls.

The only real cars...
... are german ones. Personally I'd go for the fuel cell powered version of the BMW 7 series. Kicks seriously ass.

Re:What's the point?
** Funny how you complain about how slow a c3 is, yet rave over a z3, which performance wise, is the c3 of cars.**
no, sir, THIS is the C3 of cars: http://www.autointell.com/european_companies/psa/c itroen/citroen-c3/citroen-c3-01.htm
there's other z3's than the down of the line runner.. i wouldnt mind the 321hp version..
though i'm not a bmw fan myself.. z3 just fit better than putting 156gta to the scale-o-cool..
