The same Freedom2Surf that were bought by PIPEX?
PIPEX are looking to be bought out. Maybe by tiscali.
Get a real ISP, like Black Cat Networks or Andrews and Arnold Ltd. Alternatively, UKFSN (an Enta.net reseller) are pretty good, if you're tighter around the pocket.

Re:How much are you prepared to pay?Blackcat networks will sell a business connection for 35/month + VAT with 100GB allowance and a 200GB allowance for 50 + VAT/month.
Those might be of interest. I'm a happy blackcat customer.

Black Cat Networks
Black Cat Networks do services up to 200GB/month:

And native IPv6, incase you're really geeky :) -
Re:He just doesn't get it
Many consumers use NAT because their ISP would only give them one IP address. That's not going to change going from IPv4 to IPv6 without other structural changes at the ISPs. They're just not set up to track multiple addresses for one customer, no matter what kind of addresses those are. Their databases only have one field for that, and that one field gets used to seed their MAC filter etc. Where's the incentive for them to accomodate this guy's wishes?
Black Cat Networks
http://www.blackcatnetworks.co.uk/services/adslFrom their web site :
Our ADSL service is IPv6 enabled; all customers will get a single static IPv6 address allocated to them by default if their equipment can support it. We can also allocate a /48 of IPv6 address space if a customer wishes to deploy it on their internal network. -
Re:Already rolled...
You didn't notice www.blackcatnetworks.co.uk in that case - they've been doing IPv6 for a while - http://www.blackcatnetworks.co.uk/services/adsl
"Our ADSL service is IPv6 enabled; all customers will get a single static IPv6 address allocated to them by default if their equipment can support it. We can also allocate a /48 of IPv6 address space if a customer wishes to deploy it on their internal network.
This is native IPv6 not IPv6 over an IPv4 tunnel" -
Re:NAT is about a lot more than low address reserv
on the
/128 point, I don't mean to sound like I told you so, but

Sounds like by default they will give a /128 (note I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but saw the link on another post to this topic) -
Re:Already rolled...
Black Cat Networks (http://www.blackcatnetworks.co.uk/ offer native IPv6 ADSL.

Unity?
Anyone have any information about how his new Gamecube game Unity is progressing?
Haven't seen much new on either his site (aside from the initial announcement) or Lionheads about it for a while?
Sounds like an interesting (and typically Minteresque) project, seems like it is meant to be a cross between his music lightshow idea and a shoot-em-up. -
Re:Serious question
There are still some really lame arcade games being released (with nicer graphics perhaps), but still with the very simplistic gameplay.
Pfah. Youngsters. No sense of what makes a game fun.
I've had more fun with this one than with... oh, just about any FPS. And I like FPSes.

OTI went hunting a few months ago and found Jeff Minter's blog. When I was a kid I had an Amiga 500 and had several of his games, and tribute games. I remember a game like missle command, with evil guys floating down towards our hero - a large Llama sprite running back and forth shooting diagonally and ricocheting off the side of the screen. There was this blog post during Columbia's descent, which was kinda sad.
Anyway - I should clearly get an account named "The Rambler".
