Re:Winning gold at the scam olympics
DUDE Look at the requirements if you click
"Trouble Logging in"
Any of these combination will grant you access
Social Security Number/Home Phone
BlueHippo Account Number/Home Phone
Social Security Number/House Number
Bank Account Number/Zip Code
Social Security Number/Password
( https://www.bluehippo.com/csv2/LoginTrouble.aspx )Now I only wonder once in if a person would be then able to see the SSN number ?

Re:Winning gold at the scam olympics
So they have your SSN for the user name. Just think of what they could do if they knew your mother's maiden name! Oh never mind, that's the password! https://www.bluehippo.com/csv2/Login.aspx
Don't worry if you're having trouble logging in, you can also use your bank account number.

Re:Winning gold at the scam olympics
No worries... They have alternate login information options, such as the harmless "Bank Account Number/Zipcode", etc.... https://www.bluehippo.com/csv2/LoginTrouble.aspx The rampant stupidity of sheeple in dire straights never ceases to amaze me.

Re:I could see patching to balance the game...
No one's complaining that patches exist. We're complaining that what's being released is not a complete game until you get the patch. Usually, I'd prefer you leave my gameplay alone. Minor gameplay tweaks don't hurt anyone, but major rebalancing should probably be saved for a sequel, or introduced as a UT-like "mutator".
But I don't care so much about gameplay patches. The things that bother me are bugs in the code, which make a game unplayable until a patch is released.
Doesn't bother me so much, though. I always wait a few months (or years) before buying a game, so I install, patch, and play -- works fine, out of the box. Costs less, too, since I waited.
The fact that there's an easy way around it doesn't make it right, though, just as Blue Hippo should still be ashamed of themselves for being such a ripoff, even if the smart people will simply buy their computers elsewhere. -
Re:What the hell
This isn't any sane auto contract, for any sane person. This is for a person with terrible credit, Give them a credit card, might as well just book the repo man in advance. Why are they buying a new car? They lost the old one to one of those "Sane" Cash Advance car title loan stores. They bought their "Brand new name brand computer" from https://www.bluehippo.com/ for as low as 35.99 a week! And they check into cash® every pay check to pay off last week's check into cash®.
Dont worry folks, this really doesn't apply to us, (Barring you didn't just take advantage of the rapidly closing bankruptcy loopholes John Jay Kramer and Associates can find for you(TM) This device will not show up in our new cars anytime soon, See, cause we have Money, We make our payments on time, have good credit, and respectable companies Want our business, we don't have to beg for it like people who would take advantage of this would.
Sensitivity Disclaimer: Down on your luck geek? Downsized and its not your fault? Had payments that you thought you could make before you were fired? This isn't a rant in your direction, don't get offended. This is for the people who see credit as free cash and other such things.
