This is not true at all. Marbled fat in a steak or a roast gives it flavor, juiciness, and tenderness. If you want lean tasteless dry meat, stick with chicken breast.
This is true. I read the same things and held off switching until around 4.3. By then things were mostly working pretty good.
I still think that naming it 4.0 was a terrible idea. Any.0 release should not have to come with disclaimer that it really doesn't work.
I don't see what people think is so great about Mac OS. I think the dock is stupid and annoying and the default theme looks like junk. KDE 4 is way ahead of Mac OS in terms of looks and usability.
You can port numbers to prepaid phones. Just buy a crappy prepaid phone for 15 bucks and port the number to it, then port it back.
It couldn't be easier.
1 buy prepaid phone
2 port number to prepaid phone
3 pay to cancel att contract
4 buy new iphone at full price
5 sign back up with att ( they might charge a deposit since you cancelled before )
6 port number back to att
7 show off your shiny new iphone to all your friends at the next poetry reading
8 bonus - tweet everyone about how clever you were to save $20
My grandmother had one of these phones. It was a rotary phone hard wired to the phone line in the house. Just a couple years ago she had the phone company come out and install a second bell in the phone to make it ring louder. I couldn't believe that they actually still had mechanical ringers to install into rotary telephones from the 50s.
It worked quite well too, you could hear the phone ring almost a block away.
I've heard about the practice of turining off you car (or pickup truck) when going down a long hill before. My aunt used to call it "West Virginia Overdrive". Which sounds way cooler than hypermiling.
I don't know about gnome, but in kde you can move a window without clicking the titlebar by holding 'alt'. That way you could move the menu up further and read it all/click the buttons that were off the screen.
I don't know about what vista looks like, but I run xp in classic mode. I cannot stand the colorful childlike buttons in the menubar and the menubar is larger in xp theme. I want to be able to see what is in the window, not a big toylike bar across the top of the screen.
This company does the telemarketing for the national republican congressional committee. http://www.infocision.com/
I worked there for a while and it was the worst job I have ever had. Every day I left there feeling a little bit dumber. Occasionally I would speak in a foreign sounding accent to make people think the republicans outsourced their marketing, that seemed to work well.
I have to say that I work at a big electronics retailer, and nearly every day someone comes in and asks something like "What's an IPod?" or even better "What's the difference between an IPod and an MP3 player?"
People have heard of it, they heard it's cool, they don't know what it is, but they have to have it.
But I'm sure they aren't the type of people who read slashdot.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the average person.
It's funny that you mentioned this part of the "Rust Belt". I live in Youngstown, OH and know exactly what you speak of. There are so many shut down factories all over. I was told that anyone buying the land would be responsible for bringing it up to epa standards, which is cost prohibitive. Our economy is in the shitter and only getting worse. The only thing keeping this area alive is GM's Lordstown assembly plant, that makes the Chevy Cobalt. That is our area's #1 employer, with the two large hospitals being #2 and #3. I have a bad feeling that we are in fact ahead of the times. It seems like the entire country is gradually losing their industry and becoming some sort of empty wasteland. There doesn't seem to be any way a service and information economy can survive without producing anything of actual value. Meanwhile the country seems to only be concerned with what will happen on next weeks "Desparate Housewives", who will win "Survivor", and who the next "American Idol" will be. And we pick our government on inconsequential issues like gay marriage, abortion, and so called "family values". How important is all this crap if you cannot eat? I guess that's enough ranting for one night.
It seems to me that more and more, if you aren't a giant business - the government wants you fucked.
Consumer and anti-trust protections are being limited and revoked all over the place. Now if I want to sell some old stuff, I need a year apprenticeship. I don't see how this law represents anyone's interests.
I live in Ohio, so this is just an other example to me of how fucked our state government really is.
Hani Durzy, eBay spokesman, said the company has reviewed Ohio's law and is not concerned.
"We do not believe the law applies to people who sell items on eBay or to eBay itself," he told the paper.
I suppose I'll just continue as usual, and hope to not be arrested.
I have been using Privoxy http://www.privoxy.org/ for about 2 years now. That, in addition to firefox does an excellent job of blocking popups in addition to filtering most ads.
I've become so used to ad-free browsing that whenever I use someone else's computer I'm amazed at all the crap that I've been missing. or not missing
As I read this I'm waiting an BMC Remedy to respond so I can actually start working. I hope bain puts BMC out of business.

Can you mount an NFS share within android?

Privoxy works well for blocking ads in any browser, at least on linux- I've never tried it on windows.

Can it be powered by a wind turbine?

I believe framemaker was replaced by InDesign. I've used it in my graphic design classes, and it works quite well. Expensive, though.

Microsoft owns hotmail, I bet they broke it on purpose.
