This has always been the problem with the U.S.
The U.S. is reactive and not proactive. The U.S. always has to wait until after the fact to admit that there was a threat. This is nothing new to me. Just read Unrestricted Warfare. The Chinese have been stating this for years now. Yes everything will be fine until the lights go out.

Food for thought...
"As we see it, a single man-made stock-market crash, a single computer virus invasion, or a single rumor or scandal that results in a fluctuation in the enemy country's exchange rates or exposes the leaders of an enemy country on the Internet, all can be included in the ranks of new-concept weapons. A new concept of weapons provides direction for new-concept weapons, while the new-concept weapons give fixed forms to the new concept of weapons."

What about InfoSec News?
InfoSec News - http://www.c4i.org/isn.html has been going on steadly since 1998, and nearly daily since 2000. While not a 'HTML Ezine' you really have to hand it to the editor to have not sold out or folded like many other sites over the years.

The laptop bag Jack Bauer would carry!
Only the suits at DHS would carry their laptops in Halliburton cases, any tactical guy would the MIB Bag http://www.c4i.org/mib-bag.html

Good concept....bad name...
The service, which currently goes by the code name Internet Security News Network, (ISN) is under development at AT&T Labs...
Ten good reasons not to use "ISN":
- International Relations and Security Network
- International Society of Nephrology
- Immigrants Support Network
- Internet Shopping Network
- Prince Edward Island's Internet Company
- International Supernovae Network
- Institut des Sciences Nucleaires
- International Society for Neurochemistry
- Interagency Services Network
- InfoSec News
Naming issues aside, this souinds like it could be very cool...but will this ever be available to the public at large, or will it remain restricted to AT&T customers? - International Relations and Security Network
