An approximation of thermal pulse radius, overpressure, and fallout drift for several bomb yields, including Ivy Mike (10 Mt), overlaid on Google Maps.

9MT ~ 29km diameter
Try the following link, it doesn't have the 9MT though

Re:Oh, please.
Gimme a break. When I see a hacker kill off 100,000 people, then I'll take that statement seriously.
Jesus Christ, hyperbole is becoming the norm these days.
QFT! Last time I checked a DDOS isn't capable of evaporating several hundred square miles like an ICBM with 6x600kT warheads. I think our leaders and 'thinkers' need to play around with a google maps mashup here, and see some friggin' clarity!

Re:for those of you who charge hypocrisy
Actually, you'd need more than a Fat Man or Little Boy sized bomb to "wipe out" New York City. You could kill a lot of people with such a device but you could not wipe out New York City with one. If this site is to be believed you couldn't even wipe out Manhattan, though you could get a large portion of it.....

Re:Heres the thing...
Mt St Helens isn't in a major urban area. Nor did it release a third of its energy as thermal radiation. A nuclear device will rip the center out of a major city.

I picked a B-61 in New York City for example.
100 large weapons (330kt or larger) will destroy the hearts of 100 cities.

your math is a little off.

Ground Zero
BTW, Japan had a little help rebuilding. Also destroying a city or country doesn't require killing ever single person. Just checkout New Orleans, very few were killed and it hasn't recovered from partial infrastructure destruction in how many years? -

This will give you some idea how large a nuclear blast is:
