I've been using Clinko for years.

In fact, I wrote it :)

I wrote Clinko Music to do this a few years ago with itunes & Winamp and actively update it.

Give it a try. It's pretty kool.

I did this a long time ago with Clinko Music

It basically turns any song into a chat room. You then can see who has similar songs and tastes (just like friendster)

It's all how you look at it. They believe they provide a service (although inferior, and with more ads), it is a service.

Eventually this is going to happen to legit companies. I make a taskbar icon program. I'll admit it's pretty shitty because it's beta. Also, You see more ads because of using it than not using it... (It links to pages with ads on them.)

Is it spyware/Adware because I want to pay for a work in progress?

I run a music site (Yeah, i know, shameless link...) that is constantly being beaten out by 3 domains. I did a whois on the owners and they're all the same guy in india.

I heard that this is why Google signed up for domain selling. They're getting their hands on the whois information to cross reference.
That would get rid of a lot of falce pagerank building...

Maybe they should use the Button of Doom (USB) to lock the pcs down too...

If you've been watching the logs to your site lately Microsoft has been RAPING most servers. Most crawlers will pick through pages with large lists 1 at a time, then come back every hour or so.

MSN starting last week has been pulling EVERY LINK in sequence from my site. Even the larger Artist Index pages of my site.

Seriously, I've had this same spider on my site for about 36 hours now.

Good to hear this now; I stayed up until 4 a.m. last night writing the Recommended Function code to my site last night.

This year i'm going as Justin Timberlake and My GF is Janet. My best costume was the priest. Although atomic wedgie is sounding best this year.

Clinko parses everything I need for work. Downtime happens a lot though.

Clinko.com is just a module off of my full site Protista.com. But, it's the main attraction because it parses bensbargains and slickdeals so I can check them at work.

I'd say this was a shameless promotion, but i make Jack and shit off of this, so enjoy it.

I've found the internet archive link an invaluable reference for the internet. They have many pages even from years back!
