Not their only math problem
Looks like their web designers have had similar issues.

I wanted to see how far this story has spread, so I googled "verizon bad math." The first hit was this. It looks like Verizon goes out of their way to hire the cheapest programmers they can. Which brings up a question: Which of you slashdotters work for Verizon? : p

NOW?
Heh, check out the codepoetry article in a browser that supports the <acronym> tag (such as Mozilla); all off the "NOW"s, such as in "NOW Help Viewer was almost 100% feature-equivalent to Apple Guide" and "NOW that the system had a real web display system..." have a tooltip that says, "National Organization for Women (Man-Haters)"

MESE: Already done.
As far as a program that uses text files and makes a CYOA thing, that's already done: Multiple Endings Story Engine
Works great. :) No one's seemed interested so it's not seen many updates, but works great the way it is. If someone wants to write some up I'll happily host them. It's real simple to write. I almost made an editor for it as well, which would be rather simple, too. -

Because Apple licensed

Don't take my Chimera!
Please, please don't take my Chimera! Here's why:
Mozilla is bloated. It's slower than Chimera and includes a whole lot of things that are just not needed in a web browser.
Safari can't render well. For the time being, it's not a good solution for people who need standards-compliance or good CSS support. Chimera is.
Tabs, and Aqua-ness aside, it's really the best solution. Even after Safari came out I'm still clinging to Chimera. It still has it's uses and is still the best solution for the Mac right now. It's WAY too early to claim obsolescence.
