    People have done that before:

    assl was written by Marco Peereboom in order to hide
    the awful OpenSSL API. It strives to reuse openssl(1) APIs and provide a
    much simpler and sane interface for programmers that are interested in
    writing applications that require the SSL/TLS protocol for secure
    communications.

    There are plenty of lightweight WebKit-based browsers these days. E.g. Xombrero.

    Even if you're forced to use IE with no extensions, you (the sysadmin) can still block your ads, for example, in a DNS basis. Heck, you already have the fanboy list, so you don't even need to compile it. Alternatively, see adsuck. Great thing about computers is that you can usually work around problems.

    Use Adsuck and web pages won't even know you're blocking the ads (because they are blocked at the DNS level)

    There's a very simple solution to this. Just download & install xxxterm and adsuck. Those scumsucking advertisers won't be able to track you anymore.
