Re: Filed under: Nobody needs this!
If you have a single rod, a nice closet system would make a huge difference: https://www.containerstore.com...
We designed a custom setup with one rod across the top (up pretty high with some unusable shelving above the rod), and a lower rod on the left and right third. Middle is long hang / shelving / drawers. There are cheaper options elsewhere, but nothing beats their in-store software other than not being able to control the software myself.

I was totally confused...
To clear up some confusion I found the source on CPSC's own site. It's slightly more informational than the Reuters summary... But I'm still confused.
I bought tiny fridge magnets from The Container Store that are actually tiny neodymium cubes, are they banned also? Are they exempt because they're not toys?
How about just plain neodymium magnets direct from suppliers? Are they banned also or are they exempt because they're not labeled as toys?
How about a hobby brushless motor kit that comes with neodymium magnets? Is that banned also or is that exempt because even though it's a toy the magnets are supplied with the purpose of installing them in the motor?
So many unanswered questions... I think it would be easier to require all kids to wear muzzles to keep their mouth closed at all times. It would solve all the issues where kids choke on things or eat poisonous/dangerous materials, and has added benefit of muffling their annoying whiny cries.

Re:Container Store?
What about the Container Store.

Re:novus plastic polish - YES!
Exactly what I was going to say. The Constainer Store has some. Use the #2 polish, then buff it shiny with the #1. The #3 is probably too abrasive!

container store bag
i got one of these from the container store for ~$80, and it is awesome. It's got a very well padded section for the laptop, and a place for everything- cords, power adapters, PDA, pens, magazines, umbrella, you name it. Pockets galore. Extremely well designed and well made. It can function as a backpack, messenger bag, or a briefcase. I don't recall what the actual brand is (some european company) but you might be able to find it elsewhere for cheaper.

Picture: Inexpensive Rack
I purchased a wire shelving unit on wheels from the Container Store. I keep the rack in my closet. When I need to get to the wiring, the entire unit rolls out. Total cost was about $150 US.

Re:Album sales
You might want to pick up some Novus #2 plastic polish. Works wonders on scratched up plastic. I got some for my iPod and ended up using it on a few scratched CDs too. Good as new!

Try the Container StoreTry the Container Store, they may have something you're looking for. They have a lot of the usual CD storage devices, but also a couple high-volume options. They are pricy but the nice thing is some of their stuff doesn't look like CD storage.
I put together a Skandia shelving system for my entertainment center. I put four drawers (with CD inserts) along the bottom that hold probably around 400 CDs. It wasn't cheap (well over $1000) but then again it also holds a 32" TV, all my stereo components, multi-media PC, and a bunch of picture frames and the like. It's really sturdy stuff.
They also sell a media storage cabinet that is rather compact for holding 210 CDs.
