The body dies were destroyed, maybe not?
It was widely reported at the time that the government (who were very unhappy) had the body dies destroyed. None of the articles mention how they will build new cars after the legacy stock of body parts is depleted.
But there's evidence that they're at the bottom of Ards Bay, Connemara, being used as fish net anchors.

That's not entrapmentEntrapment involves the other party coercing you into wrongdoing that you wouldn't ordinarily commit. That's why police can conduct drug and prostitution stings - they're not making you buy the crack or chat up the prostitute. On the other hand, John DeLorean (of car fame) was acquitted of criminal charges because it was found that the police basically forced him into committing a crime that he didn't want any part in.
Giving someone enough rope to hang themselves isn't entrapment, even if it's not particularly nice.

What he shoulda done...
He should have pulled a DeLorean. Hell, he'd have made a profit then! At the very least, they would have been amusing to watch.

Re:Finally-- Mr. Fission! They are cheaper than you think!
Go and take a look. Depending on the part of country you're in and the condition, they can be down around $6,000.
Just DO IT! You won't regret it! I don't!

Now if I can just get that Flux capacitor and Mr. Fission gigawatt generator working....

Ynot?: 2001-03-21 06:07:00My guess is as good as any. The 21st is a good day... Equinox or something.
If I were really motivated I would try to calculate the exact moment when the earth is exactly equal... but I guess that is relative to position. My mind hurts, time to go to StarBucks. -
Bug huntersCan you say bye-bye Terminex?
Put one of those drill thingies on the front and program them to look for termites and termite tunnels and launch a couple dozen around the house.
They could be programmed to go after June bugs, cockroaches, roly polies, spiders-- though they may be too quick for miniXtermiNaders.
They could them communicate with the others, using triangulation from other MXTN's and relay their coordinates and circle the buzzards and destroy the entire nest. YeeHaa!Actually, that triangulation idea is a great one. They could create a little miniature wireless network, relaying info to the others. Kind of like tiny little Borg's running around your yard. Now if they could just feed on the bug's and recharge their batteries, that would definitely be something. Indefinite, mobile, bug zappers. I like it!

Re:SUVs R too big and 2 stupidThese soccer mom's who can't drive and don't know how to use mirrors are a menace. So are soccer dads.
There is some protection in big rigs, but there is always going to be something bigger on the road-- hello, the eighteen-wheelers? Just say no to Big Motor Companies, and to Big Oil, let's try to conserve a little fuel here.
My 81 DeLorean is extremely safe. And Sporty. And durable-- hello, it's an 81! And it drives like an 01.
My biggest concern is these maroons in big trucks who don't look or signal before changing lanes.
I drive defensively, always watching my mirrors, always watching for blinkers. I was the same way on my a cycle, but now I've got my ultimate vehicle.
And I get 20 MPG when I drive like Andretti!

Re:Too bad they focused on more recent gamesYeah, what about those early games that let us see the future-- like Captain Comic (the first one I ever felt guilty and registered), and that funny kid who built his rocket out of a can of beans? I can't remember that one.
At least they remembered Test Drive. That was a good one. I remember taking screen shots of my record setting runs to take in to school. The only thing that game needed was my precious stainless steel car...Rock on John ZD! drive stainless!

just wait-- Public Internet System is comingYeah- it spells PIS (which is what PBS often is, except for Masterpiece theatre [only half the time] and that other show about English history-- the kings and castles and wars and whatnot) but just you wait, there will be an gov't funded PIS network of ad free sites and boring content. And on-line begging for money and support.
Do we need it? heck no. Stop wasting gov't money, send it all to NASA!
