Linux Tablet PC
Check out THIS And check out the X-tend tablet. Looks cool to me. I'll say it again... Not sure why no one seems to be interested in pointing it out as a cover story here on
/. I guess people would rather talk about M$ stuff? I mean here is a really cool looking tool that seems to embrace open development, etc. etc. etc. and I've never seen any mention of it here. -
Another option
Doesn't look like it's out yet, but THIS looks like a pretty cool design as well.

Larger Linux tablet-PC / PDA / IA alternative
If your looking for more Linux mobile computing goodness, THIS looks pretty cool. It's not really a PDA as you can't slip it in your pocket, but it's not really a laptop / tablet PC either. It looks like a Linux version of Microsoft's Mira product. Still pretty cool looking...

How would it work with the Xtend?
How would it work with the Xtend Linux based tablet computer HERE?

This Linux WebPad would be a good addition
I was checking out Pen Computing the other day, and saw this Linux based webpad. This would be a cool addition to the intel design.

Linux alternative
Looks a lot like this Linux based device HERE . I've submitted this X-tend to
/. for a story a number of times, but I guess /. would rather pay attention to Windows based stuff now. -
Re:Runs apps locally, not just a remote desktop
Check this out. It does what you're talking about, and it's linux.

Way to limited...
I'd rather have a product like the one HERE. 1) it's linux 2) it's got on-board processing so you can do more with it 3) it's linux

Linux "version" of a Mira-like device
Microsoft is supposed to be coming out with some tablet thing called Mira. While the idea sounds intersting, I don't think I need or want another Microsoft product.
Well, then I came across an annoucement at Internet Product Watch about this new Linux based tablet that seems pretty cool. Open OS... Open hardware... Good design, and the embedded universal remote control is pretty darn cool as well.
Think this would fly? Think it's another vapor-product?
HERE's a URL for this Linux thing.
