Nothing NewJesus, Michael. Scraping the bottom of the barrel for Microsoft bashing articles aren't you?
Console manufacturers have been doing this for years. Nintendo did this most recently with the Gameboy Advanced. It's Standard Operating Procedure. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's not like you don't have options.

Buy Out EBWorlds Stock.
Hmm...perhaps clearing out the inventory here might help for all you cheapskates out there.
1) Go to the upper left search box and enter 'linux'.
2) Buy each of the Loki games. Myth 2, Heretic 2, Decent 3, Terminus, Sim City 3000, Quake 3, Soldier of Fortune, RailRoad Tycoon 2, Eric's Ultimate Solitaire, and Heroes of Might and Magic III for for a lousy $9.99 per game!
3) Now click on this link and be nice to the friend of the guy who told you how to get all these cheap games. -
When to buy a PS2?
"Now, when will I have an excuse to buy a PS2?"
Maybe when they come out with this game for the Playstation 2 platform:
"This is it! Your chance to experience the high-stress world of being an Air Traffic Controller with ATC Simulator - the most complete and most authentic Air Traffic Control simulator ever released for the personal computer."
Oh the glory, the money, the excitement, the women, now I can live the life of an air traffic controller right from my own bedroom! Move over Everquest, I have a new addiction to feed!
Sorry yea I know this is a little offtopic, but I was beside myself when I saw this game on EB's website. -
Hey guy,
You can buy face masks for your Gameboy Advance. I'm not sure if they come in black, but I've seen chrome, blue and grey.

...plus keyboard and mouseFor $150, you could get...
Alternatively, for less $, you could get a boat load of current and classic titles for Linux at $10 a pop from EBgames.com
... or, better yet, hop over to TuxGames and pick up some new titles like Tribes 2,and Alpha Centuri, Mindrover, and Jagged Alliance 2 and still have some money left over.
No doubt, the hack prospects of the Dreamcast do make it tempting addition to an entertainment system. In 6 months, this should be sweet...yet, will it be selling in 6 months? (Really Curious!)

The Nations
Hey, It's Saturday so I better get dressed and download The Nations. They claim I will get in touch with babes.
They also mention something about aliens and bugs, but there must be a option to remove them.
Oh wait, it's for the Xbox, damd. Then the content must be painfully PC.

Re:Question from a non-gamerThe *minimum* requirements for the game are: Win95/98/2000, Pentium II 400 MHz, 700 MB hard drive space, 64MB RAM, 16MB video RAM, 4X CD-ROM drive, Direct Sound-compliant sound card, 3D hardware acceleration required
Given the fact that it requires 3D-Acceleration I doubt it will work on a laptop (however the Geforce2go could be promising), much less NT4. Looking at the requirements though, you might not want to consider playing this game on anything less then 600 MHZ with 192 MB of RAM, (Win2k will take something around 70-90 MB of RAM for the System. Win98 will usually use about 48 MB on startup, but keeps ballooning after that because of memory leaks.)
To preorder the game will cost you $45 + shipping @ ebworld.com So my guess is that once it hits shelves it might set you back 30-40 dollars, depending on where you buy it (I usually suggest Fry's).

Re:Wine vs. Loki
By the way
Speaking of our freinds at loki it apears that there is a tremendous sale going on over at the site run by the good folks at EB world. As seen here Type "linux" in the search box and viola
Support loki. $10.00 for Quake. Life is good. -
Time to pay your duesThis means you can get Tribes2 for less than the Windows version. For once, Linux users have a leg up on the Win32 guys.
Note that I'm not taking into account the limited time special prices you can get from local stores from week to week. The price for Tribes 2 on ebgames.com is currently $45. The price for Tribes2 Linux is $50, so you can get it for $25 or less with this LUG deal.
Ok, Linux supporters...time to put up or shut up. If you truly want to help, lay out the money now.
FWIW, I put down over $100 in games from TuxGames to get my Tribes2, SMAC, and other Linux games earlier this week. Reviews forthcoming here.

Nintendo to buy Sega?Apparently, Nintendo was in talks to buy Sega for $2 billion. This article is from late December, but I assume that it's still relevant given that Sega's troubles seem to be deepening.
