And “toxic” to the left and right on many social media sites. Most social media suffers from that because the way they function are a popularity contest and you get more likes when being a cunt towards outside your group and being a decent human being. But Twitter’s format are even worse because it is best suited for short snarky comments.
So it is a union for employers? Working together, making sure they don't pay their employees more than they have to?:D "You want how much? No no, that's not what they are paying you!"
It's TV, I can live without it. I haven't had any TV channels for years now. I only use it for streaming now, of course I wouldn't accept ad's when watching it. I have the feeling that they are really over-estimating their worth, Personally I watch less and less TV shows and movies, I haven't watched a movie in a year, and I can't find any new TV shows that I care to watch anymore.
However, I do subscribe to a bunch of youtube channels and support some of them on Patreon.
I tried out Twitter for a while and have tried other platforms as like Instagram etc. It seems to me that most of what happens on platforms like this are that when you post something, they get some "likes" that comes from accounts that use automated systems that trigger on keywords releated to what they are trying to sell/get them famous. It happened with every post.
I was going though some of the rules and guidelines on american flights(I can't remember if it was FAA or other) because I was carrying some hobby camera equipment(*). And it stated that the batteries were not allowed in checked. So I was puzzled when I heard about the ban on laptops in carry-on.
(*) I did the stupid thing and asking at checkin about a controller for a camera slider/dolly I had in my luggage that had 8 regular AA batteries and I had to open my luggage to uncover it at put it in carry-on. And some of my rechargeable battery banks just about reached the maximum allow capacity.
I have the same problem when traveling in the US, I can't pay at at pump anywhere, I know a Conoco station where usually travel where I can pay at the pump so I go there when I am in the neighborhood. It is so annoying. A few times it does work to type in a random ZIP code. So I researched the problems and had hopes that the problems would be over since a colleague said that he could pay at the pump at all Shell stations on their road trip. I believe that once they get around to use the chip on my card, it will be better, but that seems to have been delayed.:(
Ditto. I drive 45 miles every day. Sometimes 70. I have a garage where it can charge. 3-4 times a year I drive to a location where I will need to charge to get home again. Sadly, around here in Denmark, our anti-green goverment have added the taxes back on EVs. So we will after a few years have a 150% on EVs too, like reqular cars. Right now it is "only" 40% tax. And so, Chevy/Opel, won't even bother to sell the Bolt here(as the Ampera-e). I would have bought it if I could buy it at the old price without anything except the 25% sales tax, without th 40% on top.
I don't use Facebook or twitter anymore, I never really liked them but I had to try it of couse, but once you had found your old classmates, had a party, discovered that you had notning in common, I really disliked most people when they were on facebook, or at least the facebook version of them.
I feel like these social media platforms encourage people to be narcissistic assholes. Being a genuinely good person of value to your surroundings and local community are of no value, unless of course that you are ready, camera in hand to document it all. What matters are being the loudest voice, the biggest victim, the most outraged couch potato. I don't feel like it enhances anything that's good about humanity but amplifies all that is bad for a healthy community. It's the way that content are rated by likes and that people are in their own filter bubble of reality.

You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.

And didn’t a large number of people from the tech industry work for the Obama administration, or at least were consultants?
Perhaps a dopamine addiction?
Keywords: Skinner box, dopamine, Facebook.

"I like the pinball machine too", the geek says while looking at this Twilight Zone pinball in his livingroom.
I fell the same. After a few years without TV, I don't want it, even if it was for free.

I didn't really like the new show. Not sure why, I used to like Star Trek, so I figured that I would really like it.
It seems a bit off.
Sometimes you get community strikes on 5 year old videos:

I know, these are unsettling time. I still opt for ignorance., :D
It's not like I have the power to change anything.
I'm gone fishing
I got me a line
Nothing I do is gonna make the difference
So I'm taking the time
And you ain't never gonna be happy
Anyhow, anyway
So I'm gone fishing
And I'm going today
For a happier life, ignore everything written on Twitter.
someone will find that article and think. Why can they only get access to look at plantes local to them and not the ones local to everybody else.
as someone kissing or holding hands. Yikes, better put a stop to that.
Unless, of course it is CNN or any of the old news outlets, having "experts" speculating for hours.
