Re:We Photoshoppers...
Accentuating the subtleties of angels.
I have great respect for national security, and I know I may have harshly ridiculed a likely candidate for Mother of the Year, but I figure it fair enough to retort theater with theater, especially since I became a terrorist for my interest in Ron Paul and very little of much of anything makes much since since. -
Re:the irony
Well, here's a motivational to help keep morale up. Normally I prefer demotivational posters, but Neil was a good exception. And although I'm glad the military reserved the honor for a research vessel, I definitely wish more --or most -- of the enormous budget of military could be directed toward exploring rather than what seems to me exuberant and sometimes reckless "defense". While we bicker over resources and paranoid fears, a whole universe is neglected, not least the endless one of human potential. Idealistic perhaps, but I can't resist imagining this world if all the efforts of conflict were spent on positive progress instead. But then, there may be too many Neils.

Say what, mothafukka?
I had a chance to see General (Specific) Hayden perform at the Geriatric Thugs & Podium Assassins RapFest. And let me tell you; once he got limbered up with some warm milk and a few raw pork sausages, he really got funky. After the show, he told us 'bout hackin' on his AOL account. Said some bitches wuz 'bout to get bussed up on the tubes, yo. When I asked him if the gubmint knew what I was doing on da web, he said "Don't make me go mercenary an ya ass." an' I knew homey weren't playin no games.
Because on a serious note, these guys are little more than extremely well-funded, cyberphobic, pimpster penta-thugs with diseased imaginations. And a corrective suggestion, if we are to remain up-to-date: It's a "Digital Academi", not Blackwater. Or, we could just be hard, and confine our knowledge in the past while our minds bumble bewildered in the future -- 'cause it's a thug life, it pays well and looks good on the telly. -
A 'motivational' tribute
I made a little 'motivational' tribute here
Keep exploring, Mr. Armstrong! -
Their attention? Doesn't take much
For example, I've never made anything remotely close to a threat or in any way indicated foul plots or intentions. I have merely ridiculed that which seems so flagrantly absurd that without a voice of contrast, blindness would prevail. Yet their attentions have surely been captured:

http://eccentricintelligenceagency.info/wp-content/uploads/visitors2.png [image] | This visitor showed up hours before my youtube account was terminated with no prior warnings or violations - Just terminated, period. Then they nixed my Google (gmail, webmaster, etc.) account shortly after.
That's a slim example of the "attention" I've had at my own website. Some are bots, and some are not, but between fusion-centers and other profilers, a lot more has their attention than one would (or should) reasonably expect. The new security bureaucracy is Big Business and there just aren't enough angry brown people with bombs to justify the affronts to our liberties otherwise. Where the enemy is not, the enemy will be created. Just look at all the post 9-11 terror plots "foiled" by the FBI; they've been primarily cultivated from sub-stupid imbeciles hand-picked from the pinnacles of ineptitude.
We need security. People will continue going berserk. There are dangers. But it is NOT security we're getting. They ( Authoritaria) behave as if their sole passion is to protect society and make people cozy and safe, yet they think not twice before scooping human fodder for strange wars, , employing sock puppets, defiling education, tainting the media, feeding horrendous penal institutions, and severely tampering with things like foreign nations and our own economy.
It's just fine to have faith in government. But hold their feet to the fire and scrutinize the hell out of them, lest faith become dogma. It would appear -- in recent handling of transparency -- that government currently has a strong preference for the latter. -

Re:Facebook Policy States
Nope, Government doesn't have to pay; they search and scour on their own:

That's a small sample of the visitors I've had at my own website. Some are bots (AI), and some are not. But they are very busy, no doubt. -

Summary of Existential Incarceration
Or perhaps: A new ontology, through the lens of biometrics | or; you're in trouble now, whether you are or not.
In the recent Slashdot post regarding TrapWire, an anonymous reader had posted a superb video which was removed. An identical version can be seen HERE, which I think beautifully summarizes the current and coming state of surveillance we face.
If the mod-trolls don't send me under, my own interpretation -- inspired by and written immediately after watching the video -- can be read here:
http://www.activistpost.com/2012/08/biometrics-prison-within-tripwires.html
And on the subject of plate-readers and helicopters, here:

Maybe instead of bashing me with mod-points, the more formidable cudgel of critical-thinking could be used. Otherwise, I'll continue to speak through the rubble. Things are getting so stupid, that soon neither the stupid nor the intelligent will have any power of denial. -
Re:Slashdot hypocrisy
"links"
Aside from more than a few having been taken down from youtube by youtube, here's what i have for now. You'll very likely resent all sources involved, and while I dig up references to instances of police abusing photographers specifically, I will supply stuff I've gone over in the past, especially considering the latter part of your last reply: ~

Since the mainstream media misses so many of these events and fails terribly at interrelating them to examine the larger issue, you'll have to deal with the sources who are willing to. If you really are interested, I will find more recent and more specific examples. The above should be quite a headful.
Suffice it to say though, that I am very wary of giving excessive advantages to these "authorities". -

Re:Hold on a minute!
Surely a centrally-managed internet ID for all would mitigate against such atrocious acts of violence. I know I'd never drop a mine on sub-sea fiber-cables if I had to post comments with my real name -- and I'd not even dare launch a missile if SOPA or ACTA were in effect, nor do I suspect would the Chinese, or even worse; the Canadians. Maybe so. Maybe so. But now that I think of it, I'd never do these things anyway. But just in case someone else would, at least the authorities wouldn't need a pesky warrant to know about it in advance.
What we really need is a Digital Blackwater -
I've had google accounts suspened...
..without warning or good reason: http://eccentricintelligenceagency.info/archives/6373 -- You may find reason behind the suspension, but according to their own stated reason, I didn't meet the criteria for it. And logically, ethically, and for all practical purposes, their action was completely absurd, especially considering that you can easily watch videos of people being eaten by lions in front of their own families, gators tearing off arms, and scores of other terribly violent things -- without even logging in!
In my most arrogant opinion: Google = DoD, NSA, and before long, probably fascism too, if not already. -
Hell Yeah! Transparency at last!
As long they are fair about it: http://eccentricintelligenceagency.info/archives/2326 then we can listen to them too.

Re:Aspergers is not a "get out of jail free" card
Hmm. It is still ridiculous to extradite him. I wrote a little article on the subject, mostly lampooning it: http://eccentricintelligenceagency.info/archives/784 I am not so sure searching for information is wrong. If so, no more than lying to the public - which the US military does to excess. IMO the whole case on McKinnon is irrelevant.
