Re:Why are these always so expensive?
Yes, but SSDs are slow at random writes - to the point that it negates the benefits of random reads leaving you with a system about the same speed as harddrives. Technology like MFT fixes that (supposedly). Now, the only problem is that MFT can't be used on boot devices because they run their own program/driver for the device - so the drives have to be secondary.

More on graph visualization...
This is odd timing since I just blogged on Big Picture...
Essentially my points are that there are cooler graph packages out there. The other issue being that it's not really a user-focused product. I just don't see many people using this. -
Blog measurements hard in general.
It's really hard to measure blogs from a number of angles. Everyone always claims that your data is biased and there's still debate over what a 'blog' actually is... Feedburner is in a good place to measure blogs. I blogged about their stats last week.
There's also a lot of debate on the quality of various Blog search engines such as Technorati, Feedster, and IceRocket. I'm thinking of creating a meta indexer which simply monitors 100 real blogs at 1-5 minute intervals and then determines how quickly the blog search engines index them.
I'd love help if anyone's interested. I just don't have much time...... -

Blogged about this last night
I blogged about this last night...
Very interesting first implementation. Light feature set but still pretty cool. Expect Yahoo to follow up. Would have been nice to see them deliver this sooner. -
Move along... nothing to see here.
This is such a non story. There are so many reasons that MS would want Atom I can't even begin to imagine Atom not taking over the world in the next year:
