Legislating the reality fails as it always does
Once again, legislating the reality fails and it is not only true for the digits of Pi or abstinence only laws, it's true for manufacturing, where the rubber hits the road, so to speak.
You want to talk about how government destroying individual freedoms incidentally caused massive pollution? How about the FDR's 1944 Highway Act? Destruction of private property started before that time of-course, but government destroyed most of the working rail truck systems and replaced them with government subsidised (read - controlled) road systems designed to control the commerce by applying interstate commerce powers that wouldn't be there otherwise.
Just how many trucks are on the roads today where rail road would have been a much cleaner, better, safer, cheaper, longer lasting solution? Literally millions of trucks. How much pollution is that?
Legislating for control, for expedience of the coming elections instead of for actual long lasting economic prosperity led to this. Diesel cars are irrelevant in the large schema of things. When governments of the world wage wars they put out untold amounts of pollution, death, misery, economic destruction. Diesel cars? Ha!

Re:Irrelevant and inappropriate
France is experiencing riots because Muslim immigrants want to turn France into a shit hole just like the country they left.
They aren't immigrants - they've been there 2-3 generations. How'd you feel if nobody would hire you because you had a north african name?
When was the last time there was a christian wingnut trying to kill an abortion doctor?
Here's one. Apparently, they're just another group of criminals.
When that did happen some time back, religious leaders denounced the actions.
And the muslim community denounces violence by its members, but guess what? It's not really reported.

Re:The Problem With Date Rape
And, if you recall:
http://feminist.org/news/newsbyte/uswirestory.asp?id=6327
I can suck to be an altar boy or in the company of unscrupulous priests, lay people and just about any adult, usually male, if they can't mate/date with their own age groups, or at least anyone older than a minor, is not an invalid, and is not in a shotgun wedding.
Anyway, Bindeez are being banned:

Well, hell, just read this google search string:

Consequences?Yeah, right, anonymous pig. I take it you are male, no? You would probably feel very differently about this situation if you were female. Or you suddenly got the ability to get pregnant and had to deliver through your urethra.
I think that preventing abortions through better, safer, and more available birth control are a far better thing than preventing abortions through making them illegal. Abortion has existed for almost as long as female hominids had the smarts enough to figure out that certain plants were abortifacients. Make them illegal, and you will be seeing lots of horrifying consequences, of a kind that were a fact of life for women too poor to bribe a doctor to do an illegal abortion on the sly. Back alleys? Knitting needles? Coathangers? Women dying of septic shock and blood loss? Do you really want a return to these kind of consequences?
Yes, I know I'm offtopic. But I had to address this.

Re:Regardless of your views on abortion....Yes, because I'm absolutely positive that David Gunn and Wayne Patterson both had abortions. Especially since Dr. David Gunn of Florida was murdered (see http://www.feminist.org/welcome/fmf_1993.html
Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favor of abortion (though I won't get into that argument). However, if you're going to make claims about some facts, you might want to check on them. Especially when trying to defend a site like the Nuremberg Files. -
...to stop aiding terrorists in the first placeHere is a really interesting article detailing the support the United States government has given to the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. (I wish it had a bibliography however.) The biggest supporters of the Taliban, including bin Laden, were Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United States.
The United States government supported Osama bin Laden. We funded, armed and trained his forces, both in war and terrorism. We helped build his terrorist army to fight a superpower, the Soviet Union. I don't like communism, but our politicians created a monster in Afghanistan. Now it seems that monster has attacked us.
Those that are now protesting against the bombing in Afghanistan condemned the Taliban long before tragedy of September 11. And yet the United States continued to fund them through May of this year.
- The United States Supported Pinochet.
- The United States Supported Saddam Hussein, even after he used nerve gas on his own people in 1988.
- And the United States supported the Taliban and Osama bin Laden.
- Even today the United States trains people in torture and terrorism at The School of the Americas.
I do think that something should be done about the Taliban's tyranny, but you have to realize that the Afghans are the first victims, not our enemies.
If we are really to put an end to terrorism we must stop our politicians from creating terrorists in the first place.

Re:What we must do
maybe we should stop being so dependent upon middle east oil instead, so when we destroy the taliban, it will be for better reasons than our own financial interest to pollute our own environment.

Re:See about "Murderous Persecution" above.
You are not only a conduit. Christianity teaches that God embodied you with free will. Take responsibility for your own actions and do not presume to attribute them to God.
As for fear of Murderous Persection, Christians have virtually nothing to fear, especially compared to the abortionists you allege will swarm over your kids if you divulge your identity. Perhaps you should take a look at what they have to face.
