Re:No they don't
That place is as likely to deliver an unbiased assessment of whatever went on in Georgetown Texas as mice re likely to give an unbiased assessment of cats.
Right. As opposed to the multitude of climate change research organizations of the subject paper's authors, who are pure as the driven snow and certainly are not subject to bias in the direction of the dollars funding them.
The ad hominem gets old after a while.

Re:Junk Science
Or we could, you know, work to reduce CO2 emissions. In the end we'll have to do it anyways, so why not start now? Why just build higher levies and give the middle finger to brown-skinned people unlucky enough to have been born in developing nations?
We did reduce CO2 Emissions and in fact our emissions are trending down as well; now China on the other hand seems to get a free pass by alarmists.

Re:Let's hope it's true!
Assuming that CO2 causes the Planet to warm, if the United States, emitted no anthropogenic CO2, it would make no measurable difference in the warming rate. If all the countries of the world did not change their anthropogenic CO2 emissions, and the US and the EU emitted no anthropogenic CO2, the warming would only stop, but there would be no cooling. As long as China and India get a free-pass, nobody anywhere else can do enough to get any effect on this supposed climate change!

Re:instrumentally homogeneous temperature records
What exactly do you believe we are not doing and what effect do you believe will be achieved if we start doing what you believe we should be doing?
Oh I know, I bet you believe we should cut emissions, Right? well the- US has cut emissions,
- EU has cut emissions,
- Russia has cut emissions,
- Japan has cut emissions,
- Indonesia has cut emissions,
Global Carbon Budget 2016.
What would happen if we cut emissions to zero in the US? well by the models used by climatologiists, it would decrese the warming of the planet from a projected 4-6C to a much cooler 3.5-5.5C!
How could we make a real difference? well China and India is putting out almost as much CO2 as The US and India combined, and both are increasing their emissions as well, so obviously the real answer would be to either have India and China fall on their swords or start massive ocean fertilization. -
Re:fascinatingly crafted reply...
Of course if you could get away with these emissions levels while your competitors are hamstringing themselves to reduce emissions, and quite successfully too, would you be quick to end the gravy train!

Re:Human CO2 output is miniscule
Again with the magic fairies !
Look you said "Whoever gave you that number was lying through their teeth."
I showed the number while not exact was very far from lying through their teeth, and referenced it through the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) a scientific and intergovernmental body under the auspices of the United Nations, in their 4th Assessment Report, as referred to via a well known Climate Change Alarmist's website.
If you want to talk about lies, take a look at this Infographic USA CO2 emissions trending down, European Union CO2 emissions trending down, Japan's CO2 emissions trending down, Russia's CO2 emissions trending down? How about China and India CO2 emissions trending up sharply; where are the lies of omission now. -
Re:They don't agree with us! Burn them!
"With the melting of the tundra 10 years ago, we hit a tipping point, it became too late to stop climate change. It is now a positive feedback loop. You could remove every human being from the planet, and global warming would continue.
What we do about humanities 36 billion tonns/yr of CO2 emissions from FF, or not, will affect the rate of climate change. If at some point humanity starts producing a surplus of renewable energy, then we can extract CO2 from the oceans and use it to manufacture CH4 for later sequestration. At which point we really can reverse AGW.
But, first steps first.. We must reduce the amount CO2 emissions in the first place. By reducing wasteful energy usage(*), increasing the amount of renewable energy produced, and penalize fossil usage.
I.E. Wasteful energy usage, using a 10% efficient 2 tonn automobile where an Electric bike (600 to 1500MPGe), can accomplish the similar objectives.
