Re:Mac elitism
Hashing a with buckets makes out of a Happy Mac a collection of groups of Not So Happy Mac parts of similar size, but of unrelated use.
A B-Tree is stuffing a lot of Happy Macs to a lot of 'X's, so you can smash them faster because of their physical nearness. But keep them in countable pile, so you don't lost track of them.
A two-handed clock algorithm is a attempt at stopping a clock with both hands, which bears the problem that one hand is catching the other.
And Google is the answer to all questions
Where is my banana?
(I admit, that I was not aware that Happy Mac stood for "that icon", too.) -
Re:The problem with the "spirit of the GPL"...
How about just posting a link to the source (The GPL Analysis FAQ original [WORD])?
By this mean, you would also attribute the text to the creator. -
Re:Relatively yes
Well, it is more of a summer house, which is off-grid. So being self-powered is no achievement, since only a radio and some light require some energy.
The point of mentioning it was the life-time of the solar cell.
Being completely self-sufficient in a (more or less) normal life-stile is a little bit more complicated. One cannot rely on photo-voltaic alone.
One has to be a little bit more intelligent in building the house and selecting the equipment.
The keyword is: Zero-Energy Home.
IIRC, those houses are cost effective. But the critical part is, that the initial costs are much higher. But don't take my word for it.
Concerning the cost effectiveness in California, new taxes might totally void it. -
Re:Obligatory pre-slashdot warning?
They use the same database. Watch this:
Japan
France
Northern Ireland Occupation Force
There's no real benefit searching multiple Google sites, they all point to the same database. -
Re:Bigger news
A Google search results in a ton of links regarding Cage's and Jim Carrey's shenanigans. It seems that Carrey is more vehement in his opposition to CoS, but Cage seems to be right there with him.

"I'll do any weird, perverted sexual thing Lucasarts can think of if it means I'm getting the game sooner."
I'm having my subincision done as we speak!
Oh please George, release soon! -
Re:People have been saying this for years.
What are you talking about?
Only one of these are "shallow" copies. That's if, by shallow copies, you mean not identical except for the translation and enchanced Japanese content (I can't read Japanese, but I think I can assume that a Japanese Amazon will carry japanese books, a Japanese Yahoo Japanese sites, a Japanese Google Japanese translations).
I suppose if you mean shallow as in feeling, well, I don't get it. Websites don't exactly have feelings -- especially corporate websites...
