Re:This is impractical
Now, for a TV show, that is a bit easier. Simply get an RMS of the show before airing it, as well as the peak volume, do the same for each commercial, and adjust the commercial volume accordingly. It's not a difficult problem at all.
Unfortunately if you talk to psychoacoustic experts, they will tell you that science does not have a full grasp of perceived loudness.
The best we can say is that a frequency-weighted short-term power measurement such as ITU-R BS.1770 LKFS does an OK job in general, but it can not do a good job representing the perceived loudness of temporal discrepancies (a show fades to quiet during the credits, than an equal LKFS ad starts up abruptly but sounds much louder), or why when an expected loud sound (like a bomb clock counting down to 0:00 then blowing up) sounds louder than a bomb that blows up without warning, despite equal LKFS.
Moreover, there are probably differences in individual's frequency weighting of loudness (we know this happens with age), so BS.1770 LKFS is an average but may not represent your particular frequency weighting for your personal perception of loudness.

Crickets Play Pacman
This is a really neat research project using crickets as the ghosts in Pacman. Considering that crickets can tell the temperature and that they have the most sensitive mechano-sensors known in the animal kingdom, this is a creature that demonstrates many geeky qualities.

Re:Fundamental problem
The organisation which I was talking about was the HKU http://www.hku.nl/ and the group of students which wanted to make buck with my "not legitimate" GPL'd code is http://www.remini.nl/
.I want to add they even had the nerve said to other people that I didn't developed on their code... I wanted to helpout and contribute something to them and the world of Free Software, instead I was only allowed them to help without getting any credits nor contributing something to the society. It is hard to fight for your Freedom ideals when it comes to software, but I feel still strong to fight.
The two students (they are girls) then got problems with eachother and now only one of them tries to sell and rent the stuff on code they couldn't develop themselves. Please don't slashdot them and be angry, because it would help me nor free software. I tried to be polite as possible to them. The fight with tem about the code is over. I have lost that fight. -
Re:Cheat Codes
Cheats work like they work in every other game (I think).

Re:Screenshots! We wants screenshots!
Actually they have a sort of equivalent here.
Also since the game is largely audio laser tag, where you wear a bunch of equipment and run around, you could take photos of the game in motion when players are doing all sorts of wacky stuff.
What I wouldn't mind would be a consumer-level audio game. You would think with the current state in 3D audio technology you could make a version where you sit down and move a mouse.
