Re:Eh ...
Yes, it's still there, just like you can find goth shit at Hot Topic still, but it's no longer the focus of the store and generally buried behind mounds of licensed merch.
Front page and focus of the store to back page and afterthought. -
Re:Quicktime?
Modern Mac users remind me of the kids who shop at Hot Topic to be "different".
Wow, kids, you sure know how to stick it to the man. Just use protection while Steve Jobs sticks it to you because he has A.I.D.S.(tm) which, like Macs, Just Works(tm).
On another note, I never understood why any self-respecting-but-impressionable male would want to convey the essence of sleek, curvaceous sexual confusion as I've never seen a Mac-using male with a female(cross-dressing dosen't count)! Back in my day the rebels wore mohawks, trenchcoats, and flannels. Nowdays the rebels are just PUSSIES. There's been a recent wave of violence in Mexico against "Emo kids", as they're called, and rightly so. -
They want to sell more than t-shirts?
Does this mean companies are hoping to sell more than "You looked better on MySpace" t-shirts http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&IT
E M=299338 ?Seriously though, how is this any worse than dataminers like Axciom http://www.acxiom.com/, or Wal-Mart having the world's larget database http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,1675960,00.a
s p of point-of-sale data? I can't imagine the trash you'd have to wade through to get some reliable marketing data. And if that happens, we'll just see bots that create fake MySpace pages to inflate the numbers-- the same way we now see blog spam and fake blogs with product information. -

Re:Use what?
Don't care about your privacy? Let's see if you do or not. Thus far, no one's answered this challenge, let's see if you'll be the first.
In your next post, please include: Your real name, your home and work/school physical address, your home, work/school, and cell phone numbers, all email addresses you use (with no obfuscation), all instant messenger or other communications you use, a link to a recent photograph of yourself, and the license numbers of all vehicles you own.
as i explained i have a health paranoia, not from the government but from corporations (spamming, calling, and mailing me). i also think there is a good chance you would harass me further or some other jackass who thinks they are funny. if the federal government asked for this info, i would give it to them. however, this should give you a good deal of info about me as well as this. oh, before you start thinking im a canadian or canadian lover, this is the shirt im where in that picture.
What has not been publicly acknowledged is that N.S.A. technicians, besides actually eavesdropping on specific conversations, have combed through large volumes of phone and Internet traffic in search of patterns that might point to terrorism suspects. Some officials describe the program as a large data-mining operation.
it implies that the amount of content is too much to monitor so chances are, they dont really listen to everything you say but rather use a filter. not to mention this was communications going in and out of the country.
and yes, i do think you are being arrogant for thinking they may spy on you. there is such a think as healthy paranoia but you have to take it with a grain of salt. -
Classically Trained
What's really ironic (or is it just coincidental?) is the fact that today I'm wearing my brand new "Classically Trained" t-shirt.
I just bought it yesterday! What are the chances? :) -
I'll show you an ironic nintendo t-shirt
My younger brother got me a "Classically Trained" shirt from Hot Topic for xmas, but the nintendo console on the front has a green power light and a dark grey cartridge cover! Maybe it was to avoid copyright issues, but come on...

Lucas gone Gonzo
Actually, the original Star Wars, and the prequels, could qualify as Gonzo movies. (Gonzo, not Gonzo)
Both are very stylized and both styles are based on exaggerations in attempts to evoke familiar forms (Nazism, 50's lines, etc). The Star Wars movies are all indie films and have all been shot in ways considered unconventional at the time.
If you believe the text scroll before the movies, it even qualifies on the journalism part... -
Re:Yes, I know replying to your own post is stupid
I thought it looked pretty cool, actually. Then again, I'm an absolute fiend for almost anything NES; I'd probably even wear a Power Glove, if it were socially acceptable. It'd match my watch!

Ah the Kiddies, joy
Is there an equivalent to what I've been telling the Hot Topic goth kiddies...
"Go home, wash that sh*t off your face, and apologize to your mother" ... for the script kiddie set?
Damn kids. The need to be beaten with an old Hayes modem. This doesn't sound all to far off from what some of the old-schoolers used to do and now suddenly it's a culture?
God, read a book. -
Glad I got my shirts!
I'm so glad I got my shirts before Zim (maybe) goes away. You can get Zim merchandise at Hot Topic. Looks like they're being hit with people ordering in wake of the news but keep trying.
No, I'm not connected with them in any way. I'm just someone who found out about the Zim shirts recently and quickly ordered four of them. Doom, doom, doom, doom, doom, doom, doom...

Re:I want
HotTopic sells them here. They only list XL on this page, but you can access a "Plus Sizes" section by going straight to the front of their site.
