Test for Heim theory
IIRC, Heim theory proposes a type of antigravity effect based on magnetic interactions.
The effect is difficult to test on Earth, because the effect is smaller the closer you get to a gravitational body. I seem to recall an experiment on Earth would require something like 14T to produce a measurable effect.
Maybe we could set up the Heim propulsion using this system and definitively decide whether Heim was correct?
Ah - here is the link. The paper tosses out values of 25T and 60T as needed to do interesting things.

Methodical Research Trumps Tantalizing EvidenceThe persistent reports of tantalizing evidence does not substitute for methodical research. It would involve going to Mars, collecting samples from various locations on the surface of the planet, and bringing the samples back to earth for analysis.
Under the present circumstances, such methodical research is not possible. A nuclear-powered spaceship, like the one proposed by Russia, would still take months to make the round-trip to and from Mars.
Humankind's only hope is the development of a hyper-drive (a. k. a. warp-drive) engine based on the science discovered by Burkhard Heim. The Pentagon is currently exploring the construction of such an engine.

This is a-posteriori explanation of GP-B issue
Martin Tajmar also posits an a-posteriori explanation for the anomalous data from Gravity Probe B based upon Cooper-pair mass in Niobium superconductors in: arxiv.org/abs/0707.3806
Heim Theory predicted such effects in 1950s already. Droscher & Hauser have suggested mechanism based on Heim Theory which was a-priori prediction as commented in the cover story of New Scientist Jan 2006, 3 months before Tajmar's announcement on the ESA homepage.
Here is the latest paper from Droscher & Hauser which gives explanation for outcome of both Tajmar and GP-B experiments.
Personally I like this part:
Numerous experiments by Tajmar et al. were carried out since 2003, and first published in 2006 report on the generation of gravitomagnetic (spacetime twisting) and gravity-like fields (acceleration) in the laboratory. The gravitational effects measured were about 18-20 orders of magnitude larger than predicted by the Lense-Thirring effect of GR. In other words, the rotating niobium ring, having a mass of some 100 grams as utilized by Tajmar et al., produces a gravitational effect similar to the mass of a a white dwarf.

Heim theory?
Please excuse me if I'm asking something stupid, but does this relate with the Heim theory? I recently a very interesting paper about its possible use in space propulsion, but I can't tell if this article is about the same thing, not being much of a physicist.

Re:Pretty cool but useless
We can't go faster than light
Well, some people (warning, PDF) seem to think we could. This has been on /. before too. You'd have to spend several hours accellerating, and then decellerating, so a trip to mars would still take a long time.
About 2 and a half hours using the principles linked above. The star Procyon would be 80 days away. -
Re:Heim Theory
Ob.IANAP. I notice that Droscher seems to claim in several of his AIAA papers in English that Heim theory is a generalisation of GR that unifies all the forces and that includes QT based on an 8 or 12-dimensional space, but as you say, the mathematical details of Heim theory that would enable a proper assessment appear not to have been published yet in English peer-reviewed journals. I suppose that may never happen since Heim is now dead and Droscher seems to be more interested in wild/informed (delete as appropriate) speculation on methods of spaceflight leading to AIAA prizes, than in getting funding to do such a write up himself.

Re:Let's have a thought experiment first
Read elsewhere in this thread for the actual published paper, read it, and you'll see why. Converting photons to gravito-photons relies on particular conditions (due to the nature of the gravitational-electromagnetic linkage) [1]. Further, continuous magnetic fields, not pulsed fields, might be necessary [2].

In pertinent part, regarding Sandia's magnet referenced in the article...
"From the discussion in Section 3.1 it has become clear that a large magnetic field is needed to produce an appreciable Heim-Lorentz force. In addition, Eq. (9) shows that the velocity of the electrons in the current loop must be large. Pulsed magnets can reach very high magnetic field strengths up to 60 T (Sandia Laboratories), and initially it was thought that these magnets could be used to provide the magnetic field to generating the Heim-Lorentz force needed for field propulsion. Regarding the equation for the Heim-Lorentz force, however, a high velocity of the electrons in the coil is needed. It is not sure that using a pulsed magnetic field this can be achieved in an effective way, since during the pulse period electrons need to be quickly accelerated to the speed vc of the Cooper pairs, see below. The effectiveness of a pulsed magnet system depends critically on the ratio of pulse time and acceleration time. Furthermore, it is not clear how a rapidly time-varying Heim-Lorentz force would act on the structure of the spacecraft. A more detailed analysis would have to be carried out. At present, the usage of steady magnetic fields is preferred."
