    Well, here's the problem. The Mac, and the entire Apple experience, is intuitive for a certain kind of person. Artists, fashion mavens, leftists, and other creative personalities can sit in front of a 12-inch PowerBook and just "get it," but accountants and everyday pencil-pushers don't have a prayer. Unattractive squares should stick to Linux and Windows. Macs are for different thinkers.

    Yep, Nokia's got that.

    Heck, I think Samsuck has it too.

    Of course, /dev/phone (my free Nokia 6225) has a camera on it...

    I wanted a cheap phone that Sprint had unlocked for their "Vision" service (wireless web). This, along with some fugly Nokia (something in the 3000 series), was one of two free Vision-capable phones. The cheapest Vision phone without a camera was a Samsuck (the VI-660 - it's now free) for $30, and I know that model very well. There's a reason I call it Samsuck.

    So, I got this. I didn't even *WANT* a camera.

    However, I find myself using it because it's there. It comes in handy for quick snapshots. And, the images aren't half bad.

    This is a pic that I took at Dawes Arboretum. Note that it was fairly foggy -that's not a problem with the image. Also, my lens is hardly clean (crud gets in on the inside, so I have to crack it open and clean it).

    I just designed a complete computer that uses less than 3 watts! (more details)

    Admittedly, it probably does far less than a power based computer. It runs at 1 MIPS, has only 64 bytes of RAM and spends most of its time sleeping, but on the plus side, it costs less than $10 to build and while sleeping uses about .05 watts of power.

    Imagine a beowolf cluster of these babies!
