Do we really need another media player?
Did anyone hear about FoxyTunes?
Looks like their latest release does everything Songbird does but without making you change your media player http://blog.jedbrown.net/?p=63 -
Re:NoScript...
NoScript is definitely one of the most useful extensions ever! Have a site that somehow gets pop-ups past you? Well, they work via javascript, so fuck 'em! New security vulnerability due to JS somehow? Fuck 'em again! Ads in general? Fuck 'em, they use JS! Badly coded tag soup websites that depend on JS? Fuck 'em and their incompetent web developers!

Re:GMAIL integration - WebMailComposehave you seen the WebMailCompose extension?
It helps a lot with integration with webmail interfaces, making mailto's and various mail calls bring up the appropriate webmail screen. Works with gmail, yahoomail, hotmail, mail.com and a ton of others including custom setups.
If that doesn't cover what you are asking in terms of integration, then what else did you have in mind? I'm sure it's an area that would be improved upon with thought. (though I'm sure no browser wants to build in too many specific bits just for one specific mail provider.)

Re:Easy, rebrand firefox
The latest versions of that extension are called WebmailCompose, and work with Yahoo, Hotmail, and a bunch of others, as well as GMail.

Prefer the Firefox extensions...
I prefer the Firefox extensions.
Gmail Notifier:

Web Mail Compose:

In my opinion, they offer a better solution.

Unofficial one is probably better.
Just use Gmail Notifier 0.3.3 for Mozilla Firefox.
See also WebMailCompose Makes mailto: links load your webmail's compose page and adds a Compose link to the context menu. Currently supports GMail/Yahoo/Hotmail/Netscape/OperaMail/Mail.com/H
o rde/Squirrel and 1 user customizable entry. (Firefox/Mozilla Suite/Netscape 7.x)And pagerankstatus

Re:FireFox extension
Heh, beat me to it!
In addition to this, add on WebmailCompose (previously GmailCompose) and you've got pretty much the full functionality of this gmail toolbar, plus it's cross-platform, for those of you who use several platforms and want a more unified computing experience.
For the record, i've been terribly happy with this combination for a while. Together with the great featureset of Gmail, it makes Webmail actually pleasant to use! -
