Re:Slurs
Let's not forget certain Louisiana Democrat politicians who've been caught with bribe money in their freezer, yet somehow the Democrats refuse to even censure them, let alone do the honorable thing and throw them out of office.
And of course this latest evac is brought to you by the Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin Memorial Motor Pool Oil Slick.
I wonder if he's doing the same thing in THIS evacuation. Likely, he is. Thankfully, we have Bobby Jindal (relatively honest, at least as Louisiana politicians go) in office rather than Kathleen "just slip it under the door of stall number three" Blanco this time around.

Re:That's the place where shadowbanning occurs?
But if a newspaper uses it, and they're of the wrong feather - they can't do right even if the trolls were of the Hot Air/LGF variety.

This is a planned campaign
This whole thing has been planned and staged by cetain Dainish Imans, with the support of Syria and other governments. These are not spontainious responses to the cartoons which were published back in September. The point of the article were they were originally published, by the way, was to point out self-censorship in western news media.
The Imans behind this appearantly felt the that the original collection of cartoons might not be offensive enough, so they "added" a few of their own, including a bad copy of a man in a pig calling contest (he was made up as a pig).
The American news media is pretty much avoiding covering this story in any detail, it's the blogosphere where the coverage is at.

Re:Sounds reasonable
Except for the buses the asshat Mayor didn't use (and which were in the plan)

Re:This is what happens
These same people are now sayuing "screw new orleans bunch of savages". Sure there are scumbags causing trouble there
Many of those scumbags are in local and state government. The governor didn't call out the national guard until days after the hurricane. Why?
The governor/mayor didn't order a mandatory evacuation until Bush called and asked for one. Why?
There was an official evacuation plan. It wasn't followed. Why?
NO public transit and school buses weren't used to evacuate people who lacked the resources to leave. Why?
FEMA has fucked up big time, but blame sits primarily at the state and city government. -
Re:Not Bush's fault that Katrina happened, BUT...
I love this meme. The left having exhausted the usual methods of attacking a sitting president now puts him in charge of the weather and local disaster planing.
Just to refresh you on what you should have learned in grade school. Crisis management starts at the local level works its way up to the state level and then goes to the federal level. FEMA's own stated parameters are that city and state governments will have to wait 2 to 3 days for federal relief to kick in.
The Mayor of New Orleans completely failed to mobilize the resources at his disposal. No city provisions to evac people without means to exit the city were made. No provisions were put in place at releif shelters. Heck the roof of the superdome had been redone to benefit local roofing contractors prior to the storm. The Most telling piece is this http://junkyardblog.net/archives/week_2005_08_28.h tml#004752 these are photos of schoolbusses left unused to drown in flooding.
You may hate Bush to the point were you see red, I don't care. But It is damn annoying to have every idiot try and twist anything that goes wrong in this world to his fault. It just gets in the way of fixing the real problems. -
Buses?
Tell me why the idiotic democrat mayor of NOAL did not use the city's buses to evacuate his people?
Why are they sitting half submerged in water?
Oh yeah, it's all Bush's fault.
