Re:It Looks Random To Me
In this article, they report an acceleration of 37 cm/s2, which is IV on the modified Mercalli scale. I don't know how to interpret those numbers. If there are lots of stories like this in Mexico, then it's likely people are jumping purposely to try to cause an earthquake. A person jumping can shake a house, but it's hard to imagine it's more than standard shaking of traffic, though.

Re:No explanation for why though?
(well done is 155+ degrees)
155+ degrees for 1 second doesn't make a steak well done. And lower temperatures over a long time can turn a steak into leather as well.
Cooking a steak isn't just applying heat to it. Some people like it crispy on the outside but 'saignant' on the inside, so you use higher temperatures over a relatively short time. Others like it "well done" (though maybe we use the term differently here) overall, so less heat over a relatively longer time, and you get it well cooked inside and out (which means it isn't "pink", but it's not hard by any means either).Like for example: http://blogs.lanacion.com.ar/c...
Just do a simple google image search for "asado" and you'll get the idea.
Anyways, after all is said and done.. "best served" is highly subjective.

Re:Uhh, it's a third-world country. Be careful the
If you are so sick and tired of people accusing you, maybe you should stop laying bullshit. Link to real information instead of spewing crap. Let me show you how.
For example, here's a real newspaper saying there are around 3M people in public jobs, and here's the INDEC data saying that 46% of the population is in the active workforce. Hence you are 100% off on public jobs (hopefully you can figure out that the total population is around 40M without my assistance).
One more time, so you get the gist. In the same INDEC table linked above you can see that unemployment is around 8%. The fact that you would spit out a number like 25% shows you have no clue what you are talking about.
So stop acting like 10 year old and provide some real information. You just have to come up with a source on the single item I did not figure out for you. Try it.
Or at the very least give the insults a rest. They make you look even more stupid.

Re:Europa?
And I thought Slashdot would inform me on these topics before my country's printed media.

Re:The Guardian
I can't believe that the design of that site won anything...
A good online newspaper should consider a nice Zen CSS design that makes pages/stories easy to read.
In my country (Argentina) we have pretty good sites. The best one IMHO is http://www.lanacion.com.ar/. Great CSS support, soft colors and small non-intrusive ads. And of course the use of 1024 pix width!
What do you think?

Re:Pointless? why isnt the media killin MS?
I live in Argentina, and here Bill Gates is regarded by the media almost as if he had invented computers himself. So this morning I couldnt believe this article was publihed in one of the country's major newspapers.
The article not only says the virus affected Windows computers only, but it also says it's Microsoft fault. What is more, it mentions that Microsoft should improve the security in all its products.
It calls the different flavors of Unix "big winners" because they are "invulnerable to the attack" of the virus. It also points out that "... on thursday night, a set of rules already existed in order to stop the LoveLetter in e-mail servers based on Linux ..."
Of course, these may sound as old news for you, but here isn't common to see the Linux name in the mass media, and is even less common to see a report saying Microsoft's products are less than perfect.
