This just in: people are affected by stuff
and with all the amount of stuff, and all the people, you can find anecdotal evidence to support most any theory. It's a good thing these people are, you know, experts, or I'd be inclined to distrust their opinions.
The article itself states that the documentary "was followed by a panel debate, which concluded that scientific findings of the effects, if any, of violent video games were scant."
So it's just some "experts" seeding panic for personal fame and fortune.
While we're all here, I would like to use this opportunity to link to a little snippet from ebay on my own site, which proves beyond any doubt that games are, indeed, corrupting today's youth. -
They do that to 100,000s of sites
Google indexes 3 billion pages. Most censorware companies claim to review every banned page manually. Guess what? There's no way to make the numbers work. They rely on crudes rules of thump. Which by definition sometimes fail.
Check out my introduction to censorware. Most slashdotters will already be familiar with all of this except maybe some of the arguments.
P.S. Yes, I wrote "thump". Intentionally.

Re:While we're at it...
Any pointers on getting management to stop kicking customers out unless their User-Agent matches a whitelist?
I suggest you use TruSite - an open source, generic TCP client/proxy/server in Java, I've heard it's a great tool. -
Anything that makes computers more usable...
Is a good thing. Unfortunately, we're still at least several years away from this - this is how people interact with computers now. I just hope "we" get there first.

Games most certainly do NOT know it.
Have a look at this Usability study of console games.
