Re:Native Americans are the greedy ones
Native Americans didn't even have calculus when they were discovered, and couldn't even make cast iron, let alone steel.
Native American may not of had calculus but Europeans didn't have "zero".
and couldn't even make cast iron, let alone steel.
American Indians were mining copper before the Americas were "discovered". In 1848 a copper mine was found showing mining was done as early as 3000BC on the shore of Lake Superior in Wisconsin.

Walking and drinking in Japan...quite different than the cans of hot coffee that makes walking around in Tokyo so delicious.
When did you go to Tokyo?
"It used to be that you wouldn't dream of drinking while walking down the street [in Japan]. " - http://www.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/getarticle.pl

"Walking and eating [in Japan] is taboo, though you will see local people doing it from time to time, especially in tourist destinations. Still, expect to be glared at or clucked at if you eat (or drink) while perambulating. Ice cream might be an exception, but everything else, including canned drinks should be consumed while standing next to the place where you bought them or sitting on a nearby park bench." - http://www.mediatinker.com/hellotokyo/survival.htm l -
Re:America has a choice..
Umm, the concept of zero was conceived as far back as 300 bc by babilonians. http://www.mediatinker.com/whirl/zero/zero.html/. Even mayan had a concept of zero.

Re:funny but missing the pointArabian mathematicians merely popularized the Indian use of zero. They did provide the shape of the zero character "0", as well as all the other Arabic numerals.
The oldest verified independent invention of zero was by the Babylonians in the third century BC. It was subsequently independently invented by the Mayans in the third century CE (AD), and lastly by the Indians in the fourth century AD (although there is some dispute that they may have simply held on to the concept since Babylonian times).
Great, concise overview here.

Re:That'd be a trip...
No implants required. Simply read the weblogs of strangers in your city and keep an eye peeled. (Recognising them is easier if they post photos.)
