Minecraft 2 - haven't they done that already?
Hold on, doesn't Minecraft 2.0 already exist?

Re:SIP Replacement?
For example, you can't run a Minecraft server on an IPv6 address.
Yes you can! This worked fine the last time I tried it.
What didn't work fine was the client. The client actively disables IPv6 support in Java. The bug report is here if you wouldn't mind adding another useless request for them to fix their shit.

Re:What the heck?
They Decompiled and Deobfuscated the original MC code and modified it to create Bukkit.
Mojang Terms says "2) Do not redistribute our games or any alterations of our game files."
Considering that Bukkit is redistributed alterations of the original server game files, "Stole" is in the right context. -
Re:Slower gamesAs you can see from the feature list of the pre-release of the next major version of minecraft, it does indeed support multiple cores now, at least for chunk rendering which has been the biggest performance problem before, and they are now using vbos instead of the old opengl interface.
https://mojang.com/2014/08/minecraft-1-8-pre-release-the-bountiful-update/
These changes consist of both new features, and large game structure changes such as replacing the hard-coded "block renderer" with a system that is able to read block shapes from data files, or performance enhancements such as multi-threading the client-side chunk rendering. We hope you will enjoy it!

Re:Casual use of Java was dead 10 years ago.
This is true. But can Notch afford $100 for a cert? The https part of https://mojang.com/ hints yes.

The Elder Minecraft: Skyrim
The title appears to satirize a lawsuit over one of Mojang's titles being too close to Id Software's The Elder Minecraft: Skyrim .

Behold!
Left 4 Dead in 4kb: Left 4k Dead!
pretty cool spin-off for 4 kilobytes ;) -
Re:I wish
Try Left 4K Dead
The fact is that cramming a lot of game into a small space is still worth doing.
- Flash games sites have bandwidth costs
- Console gamers develop high expectations as the hardware reaches the end of its lifecycle, and developers compete to squeeze more out of it

Speaking of Valve Source games conversions...
Check out Left 4k Dead -> Left 4 Dead in 4kb! It's pretty fun and the sourcecode's available too.
