    To me yes it would be fair.

    It's obvious they're not Microsoft with that name. The only problem I'd see is if people thought it was a typo.


    There were a few different DOS's when MS-DOS was popular, there was DR-DOS (then became Novell DOS and the Caldera OpenDOS) and PC-DOS. This didn't confuse people, so perhaps the full title of Lindows should have something prefixed to it so it's clear it's not MS.

    http://www.monkeyontoast.com/rant/microsoft_layz.h tm is an interesting article about why Microsoft should be liable for the quality of their software.

    Personally, now I think that it should be the system administrators of company networks that continue to use Outlook as well as the ISP's that continue to recommend OE to their customers to blame. These are not email viruses as they only affect poorly designed software and not the vast majority of decent email software out there. I don't run ICQ but that client has always striked me as a shoddy IM client, better to use something like Trillian instead. I like Jabber but it's having problems communicating with ICQ and AIM the last time I tried it.

    A point you forgot to remember is that you need to make sure you have apache (or another webserver) running to service requests on localhost otherwise you'll get annoying dialog boxes "ads.web.aol.com can't be found!

    What? We get to burn the current Government? ;)
    Guy Fawkes night was originally a failed attempt to blow up the UK Parliament. I assume we're celebrating the fact that he failed but with Bill Gates loving Tony Blair I think most of us would prefer a decent Government in control ;)

    That I have to agree with, however kids go on it has to be someone to blame, whether it's what's seen on TV, pressure from friends or bad parenting.

    I'll be glad when it's all over, Halloween is no fun for us adults, we just get hassled off loads of kids who demand things off you.

    Children are getting less polite all the time, one time kids used to be friendly, now if you don't have anything to give them (and after the 5th kid visits I don't) then all you get is verbal abuse.
