Re:had to go back to xp because of IPX/SPX
>Anyone know of a way to tunnel ipx/spx over tcp/ip maybe? Without an internet connection?
You don't want to tunnel, you want to bridge.
Try this:

As a start - it looks like it might do what you're looking for. -
Re:Subscription fees for Starcraft 2 multiplayer?
It's difficult to play multiplayer warcraft 3 without going through battlenet as even though the game is hosted by the game creator, you cannot directly connect to that player without setting up some kind of vpn, packet forwarder (to make the server look like it's on the local network) or a cracked version of the game and a pirate bnet server

Re:Upload
That's really going to help people send other large files like movie clips from their digital cameras or big zip files. The point is, upload spead matters more now. Sure, I -can- max out my 6Mbps DSL, but I don't honestly notice a huge difference if something only downloads at 1/4 of the max speed. I do notice that things upload slow. (Also, specifically for digital camera pics, I give my relatives Photo Compressor)

Re:Someone failed Sesame Street
You can play any game you want over the internet if it supports a LAN mode: http://www.morpheussoftware.net/git/

Capabilities?
It doesn't really say on the page, but I'm wondering just what it can tunnel?
I know a lot of people whom play LAN games are looking for a good VPN server/client which is easily NAT'able - to be used for playing LAN (often using IPX/SPX protocol) games or using LAN software as if two remote computers are within the same network.
Anyone tried this for those purposes?
So far, I've played a lot with GIT for such purposes, but it doesn't do exactly what I want, and doesn't seem overly secure (though possibly faster than VPN) -
Re:Can I just submit a bug?
Who needs bnetd? If you want to play a game over the internet with your friends as a LAN style game over a wide area network, just tunnel the UDP broadcast packets from the server to the clients.
Its simple.

Re:Killing pop-up ads is a bad thing
If they do, I will make sure *MY* ad blocker can handle them (http://www.morpheussoftware.net/sab/)
Its not hard really, just check for some certain types of javascript or tags. Fake the referrer strings if needed.. Whatever it takes - I'll program it. Anything that annoys me and gets by Mozilla and SAB wont get by for long. -
Re:Deep L:inking Defined
My ad blocker (socks proxy) has the ability to strip referer headers:
