Re:Poor Nazis
So you're just completely ignoring the Obama shooting targets that suddenly got popular both times he got elected, not to mention the people who actually hanged and burned his likeness hundreds of times, during the widespread protests?
A few 'interesting' news clips over the last two election cycles about violence targeted at people for their opinions:

Re:Unauthorized export resale?
Right, because without tasers, no one has ever been killed or injured while resisting arrest.
I'll ask again - would you rather be tased (unpleasant, but no lasting damage in the overwhelming majority of people) or be restrained by force (unpleasant, also commonly end up with cracked ribs, dislocated shoulders/fingers, concussions, broken limbs, other bruises and other contusions) as a result of resisting your arrest?
Stop pretending like these people are standing around doing nothing when cops walk up and taser them out of the blue for shits and grins. They're being arrested, and they're resisting the arrest. At that point, the cops have two choices: tase the person, or pepper spray them, slam them to the ground, wrestle them into handcuffs, and hope they're not severely injuring or killing the person in the process. Neither way is gentle, or 100% guaranteed safe. You don't want to be tased? Don't get arrested; if you DO get arrested, comply immediately with the officer's instructions - the time to argue "wrongful arrest" or any other bullshit is IN FRONT OF A JUDGE, not on the roadside, or in the middle of a crowd of 50 other people.

Re:Yeah?
Bullshit.
Americans work more hours per capita than any other developed nation and per person, are more productive.
You can take your obvious hatred for our country and shove it up your ass, asshole.

Lots of posts with no contextAccording to the officers, the man was resisting arrest and at this point was trying to grab one of their guns, hence the distracting blows to the head:
"The suspect's hand covered my partner's gun holster so I yelled at my partner to watch his gun. My partner responded by capping his gun and delivering a left elbow to the suspect's face causing the suspect to let go of him," the report said.

Re:Heh, gun signs
If they really think that MY guns don't have a deterrent effect that also covers their house, tell them to do this: place a sign in your front yard that says "This is a gun free home".
Heh, a few communities back in the 70's tried this. The signs came down after a couple months because the police were overwhelmed.
Welp, managed to find a modern equivalent.
Of course, during my search, the number of webpages put up by otherwise intelligent people who just don't get it is astonishing.
It's very simple: A policy against carry of weapons will have no effect on the criminals. Unless you put airport style security up*, you have virtually no control over what people bring into your workplace. I can conceal a full size 1911 while wearing nothing more than a t-shirt and shorts. However, I've been trained, investigated, tested, and issued a permit. I'm not the one you have to worry about.
*and not even completely then. -
The Online Vigilantes.
"My ISP is being strong-armed into a two-year archive of each action I take online under the guise of catching pedophiles"
If you are a member of Perverted Justice, you are a vigilante , and have no standing as a law enforcement officer. Your records of posing may mean you are under investigation for a copy cat crime , after using the Dateline special as your guide.
If you get your kicks online by posing as an underage girl in the guise of "catching pedophiles", go right ahead, but don't claim your legal rights are somehow being violated. -

Ohio Lawmakers Promise To Fix Internet Sales Law Law Could Regulate eBay Users POSTED: 6:30 am EST March 4, 2005 COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Lawmakers promise to change a state law that would force some individuals to get an auctioneer's license in order to sell items over the Internet.
Although, take note of the last sentence.
The law, which goes into effect May 2, was intended to regulate auctioneers, but ended up applying to sales through an Internet auction house.
"We never intended for this to apply to people who sell things on eBay," said state Sen. Larry Mumper, a Marion Republican who was primary author of the bill. "This was to insure that auctioneers were abiding by the established rules and regulations.
"The bill is flawed. We will amend it and correct the problem before it goes into law."
The law would allow Ohioans to sell their items on eBay as long as they didn't buy the items intending to sell them.
"What does that mean?" said Brenda J. Grolle, an Elyria resident who buys used books for $1 and sells them for $4 on eBay. "If I buy something, it's mine. I own it."
As written, the law would subject Grolle to a maximum $1,000 fine and up to 90 days in jail unless she gets a license.
A person has to serve a one-year apprenticeship to a licensed auctioneer, act as a bid-caller in 12 auctions, attend an approved auction school, pass exams, pay a biannual fee of $200 and post a $50,000 bond in order to get an auction license.
Erin Davis, an aide to Sen. Tom Roberts, a Dayton Democrat, said the legislation wasn't intended to regulate eBay users.
"It is a complete, unintended consequence," Davis said. "We did refer to Internet auctions in the bill, but we were talking about Internet auction houses, not individuals. It is important that the law be changed before it goes into effect."
eBay spokesman Hani Durzy said the company isn't concerned about Ohio's law.
"We do not believe the law applies to people who sell items on eBay or to eBay itself," he said.
Gov. Bob Taft, who signed the bill on Feb. 1, has asked for a clarification, an aide said. -
