Re:Not tiny
True. And 10g is obese, too. You can buy a commercial model for only $239 that's 3.6 g.

Re:Why not video?
If you had a very calm day you could probably buy one of these. They offer a wireless video camera for it.

HP used this...
If you notice, HP uses the same product from a different store...

cat-chasing
For cat-chasing from your desk at work, I suggest getting one of the little plantraco rovers, the internet control kit, and the wireless camera. Use webcam software and a cheap winTV vid cap card to stream video of what the rover "sees," and use the internet-connected controller to drive it around. They even have a demo of it where you can drive a rover at there office from your web browser here.

Re:Buy it..
The little cars are pretty cool, but for a few more bucks (ok, 50 more bucks) you can buy the mini desktop rover which is pretty cool, can be computer controlled, has tracks instead of wheels, can crawl over your keyboard and can even play lazer tag if you get a couple of them together.

Re:Uses! The camera we used for the Mini-Z Cam project can be found here.; it can fit in pretty much any space and is even light enough to be used w/ RC blimps.
The Mini-Z Cam pictured is actually v1.0, v2.0 has all of the batteries etc. mounted internally. When we race we park the Cam car on the corner and watch live footage on channel 16, or even have the Cam car run as a chase car. We also have a pocket TV which lets us run the Cam car without needing line of sight to the vehicle - very cool for office use. For more info on Mini-Zs, check out http://mini-zracer.com - also take a look at YourMicro.com for a slightly bigger 4WD RC.

Re:Desk Rover + X10 Camera = Fun?
Don't need an X10. Plantraco sell a wireless camera which slots right into the rover.
