Re:TV and Video Online
I'll add http://www.japander.com/ (celebs do commercials and make asses of themselves in Japan), http://www.gametrailers.com/ and http://www.quicktime.com/ (for the movie trailers) but the list is still far from complete.
Alot of these sites are unfortunately not linux friendly (only sites compatible with mplayer and realplayer work on linux to my knowledge). -
King Kong Trailer!
Well, maybe Peter Jackson will make more money with his next movie!
The movie teaser trailer (downloadable 32 MB high quality version; QuickTime required) for Peter Jackson's King Kong is online (48 hours). -
Re:Amazing
Years ago the Mac version of Netscape's browser would automatically add www. and
.com if you put a single word into the address bar.
If you go to www.quicktime.com you get redirected to http://www.apple.com/quicktime/. No need for Google Magic when you just add www. and .com and the site in question redirects you.
The I'm feeling lucky search for google takes you to the Quicktime download page, not the basic quicktime page.

Introduction Cutscene!
WOW!
Blue's News has links for the awesome introduction cutscene (DivX from World of Warcraft game. Also, FileShack (registration required; free or subscription required) has it. It is about 46.5 MB; AVI; 2 minutes and 49 seconds long).
Apple has this introduction cutscene in QuickTime format (non-saveable) as well.
The introduction was almost like watching The Lords of the Rings movies. Amazing! I can't wait for the free open beta! :) -

Re:Propriety formats are Apple's enemy. Or shouldHow is the MPEG4 Quicktime based
Sheesh, someone here has been living in a cave for the past couple years, apparently with only a copy of Real Player 8 for company.- " The QuickTime file format has been used as the basis of the MPEG-4 standard, developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)."
- " [10.9] The MP4 file format is designed to contain the media information of an MPEG-4 presentation in a flexible, extensible format which facilitates interchange, management, editing, and presentation of the media. [...] The design is based on the QuickTime® format from Apple Computer Inc."
They promote the LOCKED soreson as the encoding format
And here again you are living in the past. Take a look at the Apple Quicktime site right now. You will see a whole lot of promotion of their MPEG-4 cross-compatible codec. Ever since the MPEG-4 project began, Apple has been salivating at the prospects of ditching Sorenson.
Apple used to push in favor of Sorenson, because: (1) it was the best codec, and (2) it was exclusive to QuickTime. Neither of those factors are true any more. -
Re:Sum of All Fears...
Umm... I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or not, but I'll assume your not.
:) Read more about the film at UpcomingMovies.com, the trailer is also over at Quicktime.com Shockingly enough, it doesn't look like it will be horrible, though I could think of other Clancy books I'd rather see made into movies (Cardinal of the Kremlin for instance, and the new Hunt for Red October thats supposed to be in the works).
