Re: I won't switch
About the only place I can think of is Radio Shack. I don't know if they sell iPods now but they are going down the tubes fast any way.
RadioShack.ca: Look at the bottom right corner for iPod nano.
RadioShack.com: A whole bunch of iPod models (in store only). -
Re:Skype at Radio Shack
In a lot of place, try http://www.radioshack.ca/ (if the web site is not down again)

portable DVD = picture frame
Another option is to get a cheapo portable DVD, in Canada RadioShack has a Nexxtech for C$149. Burn your photos to disc and away you go.

Way too pricey ....
Who (other than people who have way too much $$$ to spend) seriously would buy this?
$700 ($932.40 CDN) for a hand held, limited PC to control you devices?
It's not like they're including the hardware so that you are guarenteed that it will control your lights and A/C.
Heck, i can buy a half decent PC for under that price
Personally, I'd rather have one of these (better image here)for $119 CDN (so thats like $50 US), which doesn't run linux, but has a nice display that changes depending on what device it's using and save my money for other things. -

You mean like this device?
You mean like this? C$69.99! Having worked for RS in the past, I have used this device and you can program it to block specific numbers, long distance numbers, etc.

Re:hmmm...
I work at a RadioShack store in Canada, and at the fall dealers' conference they gave out these silly USB fans to all the attendants.

Re:Ahhhh
Actually, yes, yes you can:
Right from the horse's mouth
OR
From the store with the puzzled staff
I myself have three Betamax VCRs, two BetaCams and just over 30 tapes. The quality of the image is quite astounding, plus it's fun to wander around and take video with my Super BetaCam. All this old junk still cost less than buying one overpriced digital video camera. -
hmm..
At radioshack we had wireless cameras simular to X10's (In a way) that also had battery packs! We slammed them on some RC vechicals, threw them in the roof to lay some wire.

Intellectual Property Agency Steals Trademarks!
There is something in Canada called the CPCC and it exists to collect this money and disburse it.Ahem... This organization exists to disperse funds collected due to alleged violations of intellectual property laws? How interesting and ironic, then.
The following e-mail was sent to several standard-ish e-mail addresses within the radioshack.ca domain. You know, legal@, sales@, webmaster@.
Dear Sirs,
It has come to my attention that your trademark, "You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers" is being used, presumably without your authorization, by a Canadian agency which was created to protect the intellectual property rights of others through dispersal of levies on media.
As I've come to associate "You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers" with my friendly and helpful local Radio Shack retailer, as a consumer, I find myself in a most distressing and confusing situation.
Your claim of trademark is available here:
http://www.radioshack.ca/eStore/content/legal.asp
x ?language=en-CAAnd the confusing use of your trademark is available on the Canadian Private Copying Collective (CPCC)'s website, right here:
http://www.cpcc.ca/English/FAQ/faq.html
I would hope that you will take prompt measures to address this issue.
Thank you,
Lawrence Wade
Toronto, Canada
CPCC: I love you like a cold sore.

Re:Don't have that problem
Uh, sorry, you're wrong.
I live in Ontario, and I get the pause before the telespammer picks up.
So, they do use auto-dialers.
Another rather strong point is the fact that the TeleZapper is sold all over southern Ontario in Radio Scrap, and Canadian Tire.
