With 128 MB of RAM, it's got plenty to play mp3s.

And one of the great things about this phone is that it could even be tweaked to play Ogg Vorbis. Yessss, hopefully my search is finally over.

This is what openness is about. Nevermind all the phones/gadgets/whatever which is called Linux devices just because they use the kernel. If I can't modify it to do the things I want, I could just as well buy yet another Nokia.

Another phone that looks interesting is the ROAD PC phone, but at the moment it's only vaporware.

It's a cool phone if it existed, which is what I thought in March of 2005, but the phone never appeared, so still hearing about it today makes me warry.

You'll notice subtle changes, but for something that was announced at least 18 months ago and that still doesn't exist, my patience has eroded somewhat.

Looking a little more closely, I now see why it's an Outlook window - the window title for the screenshot (I copied the image URL) is "remote access to a stationary PC".

Still CLEARLY a mock-up, though. If this (the other picture they had) doesn't look like a mock-up, I don't know what does.

Actually, that's a mock-up, using an Outlook 97 or 98 screenshot as the window on it.

Road is placing the device as a remote access device in the market. The screen probably shows vnc, rdesktop or something alike connected to a windows pc.

In the English version of the page, if you look at the larger picture of the device, the keyboard has a Windows key next to the Alt button. I understand we can remap that key to do whatever we want, but can't we use another image? I'd like to be reminded less of the pervasive MS Windows monopoly.
