Re:Floating Mountains
Maybe you were too stoned to notice.
Roger Dean
Or possibly, not stoned enough. -
Re:The Return of REAL Cover Art
You're absolutely correct! Album art on LP's was half the joy of getting a record. Roger Dean, Hipgnosis, et al came out with some really neat stuff from The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway to Wish You Were Here to Yessongs. Good stuff!
Useless trivia: Roger Dean did the artwork for Glass Hammer's latest studio album The Inconsolable Secret.
I love Roger Dean's work. -
Roger Dean Maps?
A Roger Dean map/landscape would be sooo cool!!!

Swallowed alive!
I dunno. There's something about his designs that leave me wondering if my name wasn't really Pinnochio, just swallowed by a whale.
Some of these shots might be nice if they didn't leave me with strong impressions of the intestinal tract... -
Roger Dean!!
He has some great ideas (shown here ) that would really be great looking with this kind of thing. No more ugly boxes!

Re:Foam HousesI remember reading about this sort of thing in junior high school about a house built for a World's Fair along those lines.
The problems appeared when they tried to demolish it: the thing was virtually indestructable.
The finally wrapped it in cables, pulling them with a couple tractors. As the cables tightened around the house, it collapsed on itself.
I thought this would be a neat thing to have when I grew up, until people discovered that breathing fumes from this stuff gave you cancer.
Still, very cool. Roger Dean (the guy who did those cool album covers) worked with pod houses...
