I hope they isolate these sheep from other sheep populations. If the diseases can adapt to attack the human organs in the sheep environment, then we've potentially got a very large set of new diseases waiting to trickle in to the human population as they adapt to the new organs.

I believe there's already been at least one fictional book on this topic already. Ah, here it is.

Apart from all the excellent NPR podcasts around, the most entertaining and impressive thing I've come across in the pod-o-sphere is the wonderful phenomenon of "podiobooks". The premier innovator and author/narrator/podcaster in this genre is Mr. Scott Sigler of Earthcore fame. If you missed the hugely enjoyable Earthcore experience you can still catch up with it (details at http://scottsigler.net/ ) and then get stuck in to Sigler's more recent Ancestor and (now in progress) Infection. There are many other great authors appearing at sites such as http://podiobooks.com/ and http://podcastalley.com/ (I'm currently listening to Singularity by Bill DeSmedt, courtesy of podiobooks). As for software, I know what you mean about the paucity of good stuff out there but I recently found the Wizz RSS newsreader extension for Firefox ( http://www.wizzcomputers.com/ )and it's really damned good. It even let me import the OPML file (whatever the fsck that is) for my podiobooks.com subscriptions.

What if through iTunes, I can start a musician account with Apple, upload my music to them and make 15 cents a download?

This is not so what if as it seems. Podcast it! For now, you would have to have a tip jar on your own site to make any money, but it IS actually possible to get on iTunes and get paid.
Keith and the Girl promotes a DVD and a CD with stand-up. Scott Sigler sells his book on amazon after having podcasted the whole thing for free (ok, he does have a tip jar).

Warning: As of this writing he still hasn't released all the chapters (which is pissing me off Scott, get on with it already!) but what is there will take you a day to listen to and well worth the download.

http://www.pinkgeekaudio.net/weblog3/Sherlock Holmes pod casts. While the production quality is not as high as Earth Core, this one is still a good one. Very enjoyable if you are a fan of Holmes.

http://escape.extraneous.org/ I think someone has already mention this one but just in case, here it is. Grab all of these. Some of them are outstanding while others are just interesting. None of them, however, are bad.
