Re:Uh... let me think about itStupid truckers routinely follow their GPS up Tail of the Dragon.
They blindly drive right by the BIG YELLOW signs that basically say"If you take your semi past this sign, you are an idiot, you will get stuck, please don't kill any motorcyclists with your stupidity."

Re:No way I could trust a self-driving car
And then there's the issue of dedicated streets that don't actually exist. A fun example in Los Angeles runs right through the middle of the big Water & Power facility.
And there's the ongoing example of "Tail of the Dragon" in Tennessee/North Carolina... a perfectly valid road, a U.S. Route no less, yet not suitable for a significant fraction of traffic sent via that 'shortcut' by their GPS.

Same issue at Deal's Gap
This same issue is plaguing The Tail Of The Dragon.
Compounded by the fact that it is a US Highway and, thus, can not be closed to truck traffic even though trucks can not in any way, shape or form pass through the road safely. -
Except when they don't
Plenty of issues here too: http://www.tailofthedragon.com/dragon_trucks.html on Route 129, "The dragon"

Re:No Shit, Sherlock!
I'd be buying it to toast my friend's Porsche at the gap... 110 miles away from me.
Buying a car like this for drag racing at the local strip would be moronic. Almost as moronic as buying a Ferrari Spyder or Carrera GT for running quarters with. -
Re:Magnusson Moss Warranty Act
American roads don't have corners.
Umm... All sorts. Just not Interstates. Of course, the on-ramps are fun, especially when there is no traffic :)
Of course, there's always the mountains, like the Blue Ridge pkwy, the tail of the dragon, etc. Heck, I got some twistie roads near me here in Florida no less...
