One thing that would help
Would be for an ethereum client to be available in the debian ecosystem. At least from the debian perspective, ethereum is dependencies piled on top of dependencies, none of whom have been properly vetted, and some of which have recently been shown to be actively malicious.

This is dangerous - it can be gamed
Consider what a generative adversarial network (GAN) can do to such an algorithm. Perhaps all an attacker needs to do is paint some rooftops in a manner that creates an off-by-one error on counting streets and then they can misdirect (or even intercept) somebody's mail.
Read this article on Camouflaged Graffiti on Road Signs Can Fool Machine Learning Models (from 1y ago) for some examples of how simple stickers or graffiti can fool these systems. It also hit Slashdot, though all I can find is an article on 'Psychadelic' Stickers That Confuse AI Image Recognition.

Re:Network Separation
In the most secure networks like Google's there are no privileged networks. All access of services are specifically authorized for that device. This has the added benefit that people can work from anywhere and access any services they need to if they have a trusted device. They call it Beyond Corp.

Re:Uh what?
Intel's PR department is so deep in CYA territory they probably don't know what the truth is, let alone how to tell it.
Today's press release is much more slimy than yesterday's; yesterday Intel mentioned (and thanked) AMD and ARM for their contributions in identifying and mitigating the issue. Today... not so much.
It's also misleading to say Intel doesn't have engineers providing patches. I've worked with more than a few Intel FAE's (Field Application Engineers) in the past - Intel literally flies their engineers to help partners.
Intel's has long had engineers working on the Linux kernel, and did in fact contribute patches for KPTI (ie. "meltdown"), so we know they've helped patch the Linux Kernel.

Re:Train Wreck
RedHat are the second biggest contributor to Linux, behind Intel. That makes them first among software companies.
Basically, they can shovel shit in quicker than everyone else can take it out.

Is a washed out former Washington Post journalist to be trusted?
Really, Krebs has the reputation, but unfortunately not the intelligence, of the NSA here on Slashdot.
Please don't post his shit links.
