Re:Get rid of your television! From here:
I was watching TV earlier, because I don't have the energy to spend all my free time telling people that I don't watch TV. It's easier to just watch TV.

MSN loves me
My site is a webcomic/rant site that uses some fairly... colourful language. Apparently MSN search has a porn filter, so we get all sorts of traffic from porn searches that didn't turn up any porn. In fact, MSN search is our number 2 referer, beating out every marketing campaign we've ever done.
If you search MSN for things like "anal fucker", "hardcore sites", or "why is leah remini fat now" there's a good chance UAC will be right there on the first page. And our site is PHP and Apache all the way. -
Re:Next, on Interviewing Subject Non-Experts...
If you're thirsty for more non-expert half-assed commentary, there's some over at UAC too.

Re:WTF?
Apparently some people agree with you (scroll down to the newspost).

Re:Ahh.. wonderful...
I always kind of chuckle when Tycho refers to "dreaded continuity" because I really do dread it. Or to put it another way, they suck at it. Any time they do a series of related comics, they go from doing a dialog-driven humour comic to some sort of graphic drama style, which in addition to not being funny also doesn't have much of a plot, or at least not a particularly interesting one. The line dancing thing in particular was a completely uninspired retelling of Karate Kid. Did that really need to be done?
Then again, I generally don't find the comic that funny even when they're doing their usual thing. I read the comic so that I'll know what Tycho's talking about in the first paragraph of his blog. For a funny gaming comic, I prefer UAC. -
Re:Great Game. Some annoyances.
The game has style coming out the nethers, but there are a fair number of annoyances which I've expounded upon bloggishly here and here.
My main complaint is that the game is fundamentally a management sim, like Majesty or Tropico, but doesn't have enough for you to manage so it fills the gap some RTS-style micromanagement that feels largely unnecessary. Why do I have to manually tag everyone who comes to my island rather than setting rules? Why do I have to check the world map every minute or two to make sure my guys aren't going to get killed? The only answer I've been able to come up with is "Because otherwise there would be nothing for you to do."
It's a shame they couldn't come up with something more interesting, because at some point the novelty is going to wear off and the game will get shelved, permanently. -
