similar product but MUCH cheaper(I know this post sounds really shady, but if you look at my profile you'll see that I'm not just here spamming slashdot, I'm a regular reader and poster)
I have designed a device similar in function to the Cellsocket/Dock-n-Talk/Cidco Merge, but that will work with almost any cellphone instead of the few brands that those devices work with, and will cost a SMALL FRACTION of the price of the those products - I estimate around $25. My device will also work with VoIP softphones, such as Skype, and audio over AIM/iChat/etc.
With my device, the user must perform all dial and answer functions at the cellphone itself, but can use a regular telephone to speak once the call is established. So, you get many of the advantages of the other products for a cheaper price - something I think many Slashdotters would be interested in.
It is not yet available in quantity, but if you are intersted in more information, please email me. A few beta units will be available soon and I'm looking for a few good geeks!
email is: spam-SlashdotPhone with the URL at the top of this post (Please leave the "spam-" in there)

ASCII encoding working for me.
I run a small site for one of my friends. Her account and the webmaster account, both on a contact page in unobfuscated form, were getting inundated with spam. I killed both mail accounts and created a differently-named ones, which are on the contact page but encoded using this tool/
That was in May. Neither account has gotten spam since, so I'm a believer. Spammers appear to be too busy trying to thwart Bayesian filters to come up with ways to harvest obfuscated addresses theses days. -
convert it to a form that...
harvesters don't take the time to decode

Re:IIgs compatible?
There're already IDE Hard Disk controllers for the AppleIIgs (and looks like for the IIe too). This one "allows the use of _all_ kinds of IDE hard drives with Apple II computers", so I bet it would work with compact flash cards if you get a normal CF to IDE adapter too.
If you're into tricking out your IIGS, then checkout the LANceGS Ethernet Card. It looks so sweet!

Re:Don't forget the 8GB of the IDE64 :)It's about time Apples caught up to the Commodore 64
;).An IDE card has been available for the Apple II for a few years now... see the Turbo IDE from SHH Systeme. Dated October '94...
Then there's GNO (GNO's Not Orca), a preemptively multitasking Unix-like environment. Was fun to play MODs while IRCing and such

Stuck in the pastIt's nice to have a hobby and all, but sometimes people just can't get over the fact that technology has changed so much that their hobby deserves to be obsolete. I don't mean to flame the Amish or others who have a religious objection to technology. But why can't people just let go of outmoded toys? Are they afraid to learn how to use today's innovations? Are they too stingy to pay for new avenues of recreation?
For instance, in this era of G4 cubes and Titanium Powerbooks, some Apple loyalists still participate in Apple ][ users groups. What's the point? Working on a machine that has 128k of memory and uses an NTSC monitor is pointless; most wristwatches have more processing power than that nowadays.
Some people need to just grow up and change with the times. Nostalgia is good but living in the past will get you nowhere. Get a grip.
Just my 2c.
