Popup killer and AdmuncherPopupkiller They are looking for someone to take over it at Sourceforge....
and
Admuncher A 4k application (yes it's really small), Ad muncher rewrites the html before it reaches your browser. It's stopped 24 Megs of junk in the last month alone. Very useful when your on a crummy dialup.

Re:morpheus
To eliminate pop up windows displayed in morpheus, try popupkiller (link). Just add any popup windows that it doesn't kill to your blacklist. Additionally, it takes care of those nasty geocities popups.

PopUpKiller
My favorite anti-popup tool for Windows is PopUpKiller. It works with IE, Netscape, Opera, and Mozilla. Check it out.

Re:Pr0n?
Except that Popup Killer is non free. Does anyone know of a freeware solution?

Re:Pr0n?
Someone mentioned this in another discussion a few weeks ago, but I think it bears repeating for those who run Windoze and might have missed or dismissed it.
Popup Killer works quite well. Though it does occasionally miss a popup or close a window I actually wanted open (depending on the settings,) its benefits outweigh its drawbacks IMHO.
It's not even just pr0n sites that are bad (though they're probably the worst.) wwf.com is pretty bad for popups.
Yes, I know it's fake. -
In honor of this story...
... I'll change my homepage from Sneakemail to PopUp Killer-- for those of us on Win32 who can't run Konquerer.

Re:A small price to payIf youre running windows, a nice solution is Popup Killer
Works great, combined with AdSubtract
usual disclaimers, etc. etc...

Re:More than 30 days hack?I read on Webmonkey that a guy who tried the URL hack has determined that despite successfully setting a longer-till-expiration cookie, the 'pop-unders' still happen.
He recommends Popup Killer for you Windows people.

Sometimes It Takes Two
Lately I found for Windows a combination of Guidescope and PopUpKiller do a great job of blocking out:
Cookies, popup windows, regular ads, and moost other things I'd rather not see.
It takes some tweaking to get them to play nice together, but they do the job quite well.
