ok, why is this special? it's a standardised embedded gui for medical systems. you know, like the ones offered by half a dozen other companies (symbian, qnx, etc)
I guess it's because you get to code in html instead of C. Great, so now you can hire a TOTAL idiot html jockey to design your life-and-death medical interface instead of a (slightly-) better-trained C programmer?
see comment #8 in that bug. The original fix was a mozilla pref switch; that's what doesn't work anymore. Now you have to delete/rename the HKCR\HTTP\shell\open\ddeexec key. The registry trick is currently working for me.
You need an Firebird extension -- Tab Browser Extension -- which sometimes works on its own, and sometimes needs help from the registry (this is a win32 problem only, AFAIK).
Related mozilla bug is here: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172962 (copy & paste into new tab/window; bugzilla rejects slashdot referrers)
Inline autocomplete-- go to chrome://communicator/content/pref/pref.xul in Firebird (copy the location as above). Go to Navigator > Smart Browsing > Location Bar Autocomplete. Sorry, I don't remember the value of the actual pref in prefs.js.
As many have pointed out, the newer 2000/2100 2.x Newtons' HWR was the shiznat. Best, FASTEST HWR I've ever seen. I loved that bigger screen, too. With all the miniaturization these days, they could make a skinny light Newton these days for cheap, and (IMHO) make a killing.
I've been looking for a windows zoomable UI (ZUI), too. 3Dtop is the closest I've found though, and I don't have the patience for it. Does anyone know of something more useful??
Hello, what about Bill James?!?
Re: your .sig: check out BugMeNot
where do you get BT porn? i've looked, but not found. I'm all about apps and tv shows via BT, but I'm still stuck on USENET for porn.
Unfortunately, this hasn't made it into yesterday's Firebird build yet...

I'll sound it out phonetically for you: EN - JUH - NEE - RING. Plus we have all kinds of transport geeks around, too.
Shouldn't that be CHENEY/POINTDEXTER '84 ?

With Tabbrowser Extensions, you can do just that.

In communist Russia, MP3 players are for hiding bullets!
In communist Russia, this is digital music: policeman with AK-47 is 1, and you are 0!
ah, back to the drawing board....
I hope you like guantanamo... :)
man, I ALWAYS wanted to do that, but common sense got the better of me (lots of over-zealous police in my 'burb...)
Also worth noting: Scrobbler is going open-source.

Hmmmn on balance I should probably tell RJ to consolidate the projects into one and use modules... Ah well
nope, i use normal nt logon, windows-break gives me properties, ctl-alt-delete gives me security center thing, windows-L does nothing for me.
(I am not same as AC above, not that it matters)
Where were all those grammar-nazi subscribers with access to the story queue when we needed them? Insite? Insits???
Come on...
"Gooking" seems obvious... though also seems racist. Nevermind...

(on a side note this is why I don't buy into most conspiracy theories-- the govt. is way too inefficient at keeping things quiet)
That's just what they want you to think... ;)
