Re:Satellite
Powered by yell - how do Yell make money from this? Surely it's diverting people away from their site, which means less effective advertising.
Sure, google pay them, but I can't imagine it'd match the advertising revenue, the whole basis of their online business model. -
Re:OK, I'm impressed.
Google UK obtain their business address data from Yell, and Madeley's fine(?) chippie is missing from there too.
Maybe they have things to hide and don't want to be found? Could the chippie be a front for something more sinister? I think the public have a right to know!

Re:fact-checking?
No, they don't allow you to use it if you're another company to look for companies to try and sell your services to. http://www.yell.com/legal/home.html, Section 4, vii, bullet 4.
For the avoidance of doubt and without limitation, you are expressly prohibited from:.... using the Data.... As source targeting material or contact data for any kind of telemarketing, direct marketing, viral or other electronic marketing activity on your own behalf or on behalf or for the benefit of another party. -

Re:Yell
It's only for US businesses at the moment, although I expect that if the beta version is successful then they'll bring us a UK version like they did with Google News. It might be expensive though, our Yellow Pages data is owned and maintained by BT and knowing that BT is always talking about new deals with Microsoft, I can't see it happening...
