This is very true. I have seen a few dozen channels get their funding yanked because they had the audacity to say they like trump.

Hell one of them is a channel that helps people cope with narcissistic abuse. He has one pet theory that it is 'societal narcissism' that caused the 'silent majority' because they have been gas lighted into silence. Interesting theory with a good argument but poor science to back it up. He usually only brings it up when he runs out of people to help. Yet his entire 1500 video catalog was just demonetized. It is not like he is raking in the big bucks off this either. His average viewership is 700-1200 per video total. Pretty much just enough to live in a crappy 1 bedroom apt where his wife has a part time job too.

This guy helps people cope with gaslighting and showing exactly how it works and how to cope with it. Yet he is basically being deplatformed because of one particular view he has.

I have seen other channels resort to basic clickbaiting and trying for higher volume. Many are just turning to patreon when 2 years ago they did not need it at all.

I see the very people that were at the epicenter of creating gamergate being the gatekeepers of 'truth' on youtube and I honestly laugh my ass off. They are the epitome of lies, coverups, half truths. Yet they get to decide who gets to say something or not. That group will ruin youtube and google will not know what hit them.

Of more concern is the demise of TOM PETTY.
