The GOP is losing ground because they deserve to lose.

Historically, the ruling party loses seats in the 6th year of a presidency. A loss of 40 seats is average. The projected loss of 15 is no big switch. America likes divided government. It is really only imperative that the GOP keep the Senate so that it can continue to stock the supreme court with conservative justices.

It starts at the top, and all the way down they are rotten. The sheer number of scandals is a very good inidcator that they need to gut the party and remove the cancers from within.

It's why I want to shoot anybody who actually buys this sort of phrasing, such as what the RIAA is giving us.

Better shoot those that use such language to achieve their goals - those buying it can still be educated.

How about "We Will Prevail" (by now a whole book full of Newspeak instead of just another rallying cry - read the user reviews at amazon!) or "Islamic Fascism"? Would you shoot?

Yes, we agree on many points. And I'm glad we managed to keep this civil. The points we disagree on are rather big though:

I do not believe that the death of tens of thousands of civilians can be justified by claiming to be bringing democracy.

I do not believe that you can force democracy on a country. All you can achive that way is a pseudo colony with a pseudo democracy. The kind of situation leading to the current state of Africa.

I do not believe that Bush believed there were WMDs in Iraq, nor that Iraq was closely tied to Al Quaeda, nor that Iraq was any kind of threat to the US.
I do believe that the "intelligence failures" were 100% intentional.
