For 'Big Dumb Patent Bully,' the nominees are Amazon.com and Unisys. For 'Big Dumb Domain Bully,' the nominees are Etoys, Network Solutions, Microsoft and Archie Comics. For the 'Cluestick Award for FUD in Journalism,' the nominees are ZDNet, Jesse Berst, John Dvorak, Bob Metcalfe and Microsoft.     I'm kept holding out voting until slashdot was on the list. How hypocritical. Guess abstain, because JB has been following the trend (we love NT, RISC/UNIX is dead, Linux is big). Oh.. so has everyone else.. hmm... All supposed 'journalism' seems pretty crapy.

    This category needs to be renamed! The 1st and 4th words in the title are contradictory: fine. But, some of the entrants are polar opposites as well: Dvorak != Metcalf. That is if you're referring to that misguided opinion piece which appeared and which was rebutted in Linux World (I think).

    Therefore as is, I dunno with certainty if the intent is to metaphorically praise or castigate (Dvorak is nothing if not a maverick contrarian, and unequivocally not anyone's stooge) the nominees??

    Maybe you should've thrown in Scott McNealy into the mix. That individual is not beyond treating users with contempt -- vis-a-vis his `get over your privacy hang-ups, you have none' world view - enlightening thinking for a provider of OSs -- and fudding the world to push Suns oft-squirrely product ideas.

      No way John Dvorak should be lumped in with the
      likes of Microsoft. Without a doubt.

    NSI!!!! They tell you whether or not you cant have something, thats the final say. If someone just happened to grab something before you, your SOL forever because of the way things are run. I'm tired right now so if this post is meaningless and weak, ignore it. I'll post something worthwhile later =)
