New Web Standards

I wonder how long this one will last?
Just because a bunch of people believe or do something stupid, doesn't make it any less stupid.
This one won't even get out of the gate. While Tim and his friends started it all, they don't seem to realize that MS is not controling the standard.
Sorry, but it's true. If MS doesn't incorporate support in their browser, the most of the world can't see it. That means that there is no sense wasting time developing with that standard. If no one is developing with it MS sees no need to incorporate support in their browser.
It's a vicious cycle but, that's the way it is. If MS doesn't want it, it ain't gonna happen. So, who do you think controls the standard?
Another standard for Microsoft to "embrace and extend".
Will these people ever learn.
I love standards especially when we have so many of them...
