    Check out this link [overclockers-network.com] for benchmarks of a dual AMD overclocked to 1.6ghz. I simply crushes the dual P4 Xeon 1.7ghz
    A simple search on Google reveals that the P4 simply outperforms the AMD Athlon without overclocking for video encoding, image manipulation and everyday tasks that you can do in Linux - TeX, kernel compilation, MP3 encoding and mathematical calculations!
